Andrew lovely bike mate!! Its going to be my next one! 2007 I have a lovely older BMW K 1100 bike at the moment with older technology. It is drilled into us on the forum to remove the negative FIRST everytime, and replace LAST or risk frying the ECU. Be careful to do the same on your beauty. Ride safe mate!
Your bike is in great shape for a 20 year old. I've had my 2007 VFR for 3 years as well.... she is a lovely girl. Bitter sweet ownership though, as we may not see another V4 and exhaust note like that again.
Thanks for that and watching my vid Glad to hear your VFR makes you smile. Have to remember in Sweden hear we can only ride from April to end of October. You can find really nice bikes. Some people don't do much mileage at all. Regarding the V4. I guess we will have to make the best of it while we still can.
On the Fj1200 you have. If you leave the key on the on position, does it drain the battery? Even if the Kill Switch is turned to the off position? Happen to me Yesterday I got the battery charged back up. going to mess with the bike in a little while do some fine tuning. So, I can Start taking it to work tomorrow and the rest of the week.
If I leave my bike in the on position the lights on.Lghts during the day are a must here. Besides are can't remove the key in the on position. either. Must turn the key to the left before I can remove. Perhaps the US model is different?
Hi Alex. Thanks for taking the time to checkout my videos. The lithium battery I put in there was the recommended one by Shido was LTZ12S. They certainly aren’t cheap but it works perfectly and certainly is amazingly light. It will be an upgrade for my other bikes when money allows. A new charger doesn’t cost a fortune. I can highly recommend this upgrade for your VFR! Cheers!
Thanks Andrew, I've just acquired a 2007 in sword silver and looking to fit a Shido.. not as nice as this beauty though! For anybody with the infamous Triumph sprag clutches... stuff the biggest shido battery you can in the frame.. it'll crank really hard, quickly and protect the clutch
