As a lover and practitioner of fine arts, and since there are ZERO fine artists now alive who I actually admire for their talents and accomplishments, my conclusion is that we are left with Robert Crumb as the greatest living artist. I own some original pieces, and avidly watch as his business enterprises come out with new works. He is refreshingly honest and open, meaning not at all above self-effacement, has a delightful sense of humor and public speaking style, and is therefore totally unique and as far opposite as possible from the usual self-serving conceited types we have seen come onto the world stage. In my book, this qualifies for him to be deemed Genius.
Love Crumb! We're exactly the same age. I remember FRITZ the CAT back in the 70s. Hilarious. DiD he do his own texts? KEEP ON TRUCKIN' tee-shirts were very popular back then.
u say Crumbs a sell out, so what, in ur imagination he's spozed to pitch a tent in an alley somewhere & live off panhandling? and what do you do for a living, i mean, besides living off ur ethics/morals/standards & principles?

Yes he did his own text, always a steady hand he had when it came to lettering he even did his front cover text. Incredible
I bought his Genesis used in a shop in Prague. 45 USD
Talk about the ultimate working vacation......interviewing Crumb during (the first?) Indian Comic Con. Words fail me.
"This session was recorded live at on 19th February, on the final day of the Second Annual Indian Comics Convention, held at Dilli Haat, New Delhi.
Why do I get the feeling this crowd doesn’t have a clue who R Crumb is?or care
The interviewer is boring
