As a lover and practitioner of fine arts, and since there are ZERO fine artists now alive who I actually admire for their talents and accomplishments, my conclusion is that we are left with Robert Crumb as the greatest living artist. I own some original pieces, and avidly watch as his business enterprises come out with new works. He is refreshingly honest and open, meaning not at all above self-effacement, has a delightful sense of humor and public speaking style, and is therefore totally unique and as far opposite as possible from the usual self-serving conceited types we have seen come onto the world stage. In my book, this qualifies for him to be deemed Genius.

Love Crumb! We're exactly the same age.
I remember FRITZ the CAT back in the 70s. Hilarious.
DiD he do his own texts?
KEEP ON TRUCKIN' tee-shirts were very popular back then.

Talk about the ultimate working vacation......interviewing Crumb during (the first?) Indian Comic Con. Words fail me.

u say Crumbs a sell out, so what, in ur imagination he's spozed to pitch a tent in an alley somewhere & live off panhandling?
and what do you do for a living, i mean, besides living off ur ethics/morals/standards & principles?
