    Joel’s the GOAT!!! Great job brother!!! im so glad to see another detailer with so much knowledge and actually knows the correct way to use certain chemicals and methods. not just a guy that decided to “detail” cars without any experience and charge people $300 for a ceramic coating. ive had so many people look at me like im crazy when i give them my price for a ceramic service ($1,100). after i explain that i can not just wash the car and apply the ceramic and that i have to clay, iron decon, compund, polish and FINALLY APPLY the ceramic, they say “well, i had it done with my guy last time and he only washed it and ceramic coated it for $300”, i tell them to go to him. they then tell me hes not around anymore!! my supplies alone cost $300 for that service!!! after they see thier car, my results have them speechless. one client thought i painted his car!!!

    Great video! I don't use Beadmaker anymore because the nice shine doesn't last very long and I think customers deserve better lasting paint protection. There are tons of spray waxes on the market that last at least 3-6 months. I think all customers deserve to have a decent level of paint protection especially paying top dollar. Black clay bars are a hard no!

    Should you only clay bar if you're going to polish afterwards? There seems to be a lot of conflicting information. Some people say you should only use a clay bar when you're going to polish, because clay bars scratch the paint and so you're going to have to correct it and you should only do it once a year. Others say it doesn't scratch the paint and you can do it anytime you're going to do a strip wash and reapply a spray wax. Can you help please?

    • @777AndrewR
      @777AndrewR 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So you should clay only when necessary! I hope you know how to figure that out. If you clay a dark color car ex. Honda Toyota soft paint will scratch easy you will see the scratches immediately then you must polish them out. No scratches visible then no polish. Easy

    • @DETAILSofficial
      @DETAILSofficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I ONLY clay when needed, test the paint first for bonded surface contaminants. If needed clay. I always polish post claying, just to ensure the best finish, obviously not everyone wants a polish so I would practice communication with your clients about the process.

      That would be extremely risky on hot days since the wheel brightener has acid, acid on warm windows can cause permanent damage

    What was the dilution ratio for that acid you used on wheels and chrome. Thank you.

    Black clay is the worse idea I’ve seen in a while. Not sure how you can tell how much contaminates are on the clay so you know when to kneed the clay. Also never put acid on glass it will etch the glass and it will need to be replaced. Also always remember to roll all windows down and get the top so you don’t have a nasty line present when the windows go down.
