E211: Sunrise Fire Fox 4WD Buggy- Obscure Tamiya Clone From The Early 90’s?

I can across this buggy totally by mistake by just typing in an eBay search Tamiya clone , and thus buggy popped for sale in Italy, a deal was done and here it is, what do you make of it ?

Yeah the body had a resemblance to a bigwig but does look even more toy grade than it’s counterpart , but it would be a shame to ruin it

What an odd and very cool little. So much done just like the original but so far away from the original at the same time!! Very col find for sure and it looks to be in perfect shape!!
Cheers Addam. Like you say so close but so far as well. It’s in super condition a little grubby but besides that it’s Bob on. Hopefully get around to cleaning it at some point
What a great decade the 80's was. Nice but if history there. From the side that wing looks too far forward but all part of the charm.

I found one a few years ago. Yours is complete. The blue can was stock. It was also sold under Robbe and was called the Fire Fox.. I called mine the BigFib..

The wheels & tires are really similar too the Nikko Brat or Super sprint, Or Dandy Dash which are ofc really expensive & rare buggies.
It must have been some sort of buggy that was being made by Nikko, or at least the chassis before some executive went nope & made the company dial it down on the hobby grade like rc's in favor of simply having parts support on cheaper & more simple rc's.
Also ending got cut a bit short there lol.

It’s a curious one I just wonder if they got the licence from Tamiya to copy the big wig and bought in shocks and the tyres and maybe some bits off Nikko. Who know :) thank you for watching

I think you can still get it in some places if they have stock , maybe a while before we see it again tbough

I had 2 of those. But mine had the abs plastic thundershot body on it. Ive been trying to find out who made them.
I’ve been told the Robbe sold one under their brand name and the name on on this one appeared to be a sun wind electronics- sunrise Firefox
it has the same rear wing and decals as the Hoptron Eagle which was a copy of a copy of a Hotshot, same company?

lol the receiver is clearly a futaba unit but, it says BEC system!!!!!!! so why does it need 4 AA's lolololol
Yeah I thought that when I saw that on the receiver as well I’ve not tried taking the AA’s out the car though
