The MC-130H does not have AE2100 engines, it has T-56A engines. C-130J variants have AE2100. Some other comments have already pointed out other errors in this video (quite a few).

The yellow hoses connected to the props are not the ground power unit for engine start-up, they are hoses connected to a portable furnace to preheat the props and engines in cold weather. The ground power comes from the black cable plugged into the side of the aircraft shown later.

Indeed, Pacific Western Airlines installed internal ducting from APU to preheat propeller hubs to prevent tearing of seals. We understood that US military/National Guard did not shut Hercs down at Antarctic stations. And PW modified APU to avoid freezing of pneumatic controls.

It's great to see Balls 23 (87-0023) still flying. Worked on her in the mid '90s at RAF Mildenhall.

This must be some old footage. 0023 retired a few years ago.

I like how they had a picture of a random dude with an enormous nose just before the part about the bizarre nose of the aircraft... Touche'

What are the percentages of an enemy using ground to air missiles of hitting and downing this plane. It appears to be fairly easy

does the air force have a standard uniform code, they seem to wear what they want…

Yes they do. Flight line maintenance crews can wear coveralls. Hats are not worn around aircraft because of possibly being ingested into aircraft engines or equipment. I miss the flight line !

When regardless of this tech, the US loses all of the wars it gets into, against an enemy with little more than automatic rifles, it is is no wonder that the Israelis are disregarding any advice from the US about how to defeat Hamas :-)

Engine starting requires pressurized air, which normally comes from the onboard Auxiliary Power Unit.
The black cable is only electrical power, only smaller airplanes use electric starters (the R-R Dart on the CV640 for example, which was pushing the limit of electric start - two honkin' big batteries in the airplane).
