  • John 11: 21-27 Lectio Divina is a Prayer practicing for parts. First, we listen to the word simply to receive the words in the message. This is called the Lectio. Second, we reflect on a word that has captured our attention, or that sparkles for us, or from which we get some sort of nudge from God. This is meditatio. Third we respond. This is oratio. We may pray, journal, create, sing, respond from a place of having received something. And finally, we rest in the experience, and then what we have received. This is called the contemplatio.
