Having heard Maynard only on albums or the radio, I *so* wanted to play like him. When I finally got to see him in concert in '82 I was 20... and he played this very tune... and I was blown away! A recording does *not* do his playing justice; I can still feel the awe and chills! He was so amiable to us in the audience, too. Great time!

Maynard Ferguson invents the Power Ballad.
So much feeling in all registers. Maynard could take a ballad, inject his soul into it, and KNOCK IT OUTTA THE PARK!
It took me years to get hold of this album. It is one of my all time favorites!
I had it years ago on vinyl and lost it, great to find it on here, brilliant!
Have not heard this before. Saw Maynard a couple of times live. Miss that guy.
Very beautiful number - great band from Maynards days in England
I was 10years old great album
So happy to hear Maynard's sweet middle register here at the beginning. I wish he would have stayed there the whole song.
He must have been using a symphony orchestra I have to find this album
why on EARTH is this not on streaming services? i.e., Apple Music? This album in general?
Did you know that my son Michael was with Maynard when he left this life ?
Rest In Peace Maynard Ferguson.
I thought it was only his family with him ????
Who is your son ?? I’ll ask Wilder if your story is true .
