Great vid as always Bassman …. And my name was the first to be pulled out of the err bag 🙈😆! Blown away. Your time, effort and resources are always appreciated, the content does not come for nothing. Thanks for the chance to buy the excellent rigs and therefore enter the competition, a fantastic surprise.
Well done cheers top man 🏆 The rod is being posted out Monday for Tuesday, your address has been given to the sender Blackrock 👍🎣🏆 Thank you for supporting mate great prize Bassman 😎
Thanks for the 3rd prize Bassman. The best thing for me was the laugh it gave my Wife and two boys. They took photos of the TV screen to forward to their mates. We all fell about, we couldn’t believe it! Made my evening! The video is good too, a whole new way of catching gilts.
Good to see you all enjoying the fishing there at the creek. I know this spot well, and it can produce good fishing on the day. Unfortunately, the mullet were gorging on the brine shrimp...and it can be awkward to snap them out of feeding on anything else. Still, at the end of the day, you all caught something and Jon was rewarded with a good sized mullet there, as well as losing a good fish. It happens! It's always a buzz to see the mullet up close like that, even if they're not taking so well. Also good to see the gilts showing up, even if they are small...it's still a good feeling to hook into something! Anyhow, congrats to the winners of your competition, and keep these type of vids coming....we all love 'em!
Cheers! 🍻 next time I’ll try shrimp cocktail with Mary rose sauce maybe 🤔 We knew what was going on smashing the wee prawns, if anything the spinners where spooking the mullet not attracting them, I’ve caught more than a few there hehe biggest 2/12 😁👍
Brilliant video nice effort, funny seeing the bream trying to steal the show. That was a nice mullet all that fuss at the net and quite a chilled release.
Get on Bassman..loved that . We're out this weekend again on the Teignmouth estuary...Mini Bassman will be strutting his stuff again lol .. Cheers mate 👍
@bassmansbountyfishing no problem mullet fishing is exactly like carp fishing same tactics works a treat want to try surface fishing for them floating bread 3ft trace and a controller float
I’m christening my new blackrock continental bass in France on the west coast at the end of the month! I bought the only one I could find! A lovely rod I gotta say! Anyway, great angling that! Nice session in a lovely location 👌
I've seen more fish lost chasing the the fish with the landing net, it was a common thing in the 60's to this day to sink the net then draw the fish over it and lift, that said it was a nice fish .
🤣Jon was on a very light drag playing the fish in very shallow water, we are relatively new as fishing pals so didn’t want to mess it up for him, I usually land my own fish as does Jon 😊👍
Hi again, Paul. Inspired by your video, I fished the spot yesterday (Saturday) all the way in from low to high tide. Had a stonkin' day, catching small bass...26 to be exact. No gilts turned up though. The mullet didn't want to know...again feeding on the pesky brine shrimp. All fish were caught with my home-made mullet spinner rigs and were mouth hooked...and returned as good as new to the water. If there hadn't been so much weed, I reckon I would have caught a lot more. I tried various mullet spinners and one design definitely outshone the others in my small home-made collection...so lessons learned along the way. I have the same-make bombardier floats as yourself, and always find that after a while they lose their buoyancy...have you found this?? Got back home knackered but a happy man...lol. All the best and good luck for the future.
WELL DONE GUYS AND THANK YOU ALL FOR ENTERING THE DRAW 🏆🙏😊🎣🎩

Glad you enjoyed it, I’m not fully in tune with Jon yet, mullet don’t give up especially in shallow water ☝️

Sounds great! 😊
Never seen gilts caught like that, I think you were quite surprised too. Must take my box of meps (dating back to the 70's) with me next time.
You should! 😁🎣
Thank you brother for mullet fishing video
No problem my far away fishing bro 👊 🌍
Put a small pennel hook on with a rubber stop below it so the worm doesn't slip down
Great tip 👍😎
Anti tangle sleeve 50mm long keeps every thing away from the controller float
Interesting, thanks.
Excellent info cheers 😎
