My mom bought one of those new in 2000, was top of the line with every option on the list. My brother bought it 5 years ago to haul jet skis, he puts 2 in the back and pulls 4 more on a trailer + all the gear and fuel. It’s got about 287k on it, original motor and trans. Still drives like new!
Yeah on the surface at least but that still like $600 easy and then stuff like body panels with dents all over arent cheap or easy to fix and it probably needs new tires all around judging by the random wheels. Makes more sense to get a good straight one thats on the road for around $1k
Hey that's a couch and 2 chairs right there in the back for the house well we will call it a sectional ! Save some old floormats wash them use them for a doormat at the house !
Thursday was a hell load of storms, rains and quite some flooding, yesterday was really cold and plenty of flurries, I almost froze to death while railfanning, and today had even more flurries and snow, the weather is just crazy here in the South
I had (and still have) one of these. They were VERY good vans but unfortunately the V6 in these were somewhat pissy. Mine had numerous engine faults (all EVAP related) that caused the check engine light to come on once a week so it wont pass Texas emissions. Turned out to be a bad computer... still sitting on the side of my house to this very day lol
I can attest to the dependability of those Toyota Siennas. My late uncle bought a 2000 model brand new from the dealership and drove till 200,000 miles then he parked it and used it as a second car. At 287,000 miles, the engine threw a rod and then was junked. All that that van needed mechanical repair- wise was a new starter and routine maintenance. I wish all cars were like that.
I like those Siennas. They’re not as idiotic as the newer ones are. I love those wheels that these ones have. I want to take those wheels and put them on a base model Tacoma from that time period
285,000 miles may not seem like alot but our 2004 Suburban has 292,000 atleast. It runs fine everyday other then an exhaust leak cause the head bolts broke off in the block. We daily it and take it on long trips often.
Jay it's a first gen.. first series.. They made an updated version in late 00-03 that had vvti and clear tail lights. All of them had a shit rear exhaust manifold, where they would leak at the gasket. The 2 rear wheels are toyota sienna XLE wheels, the front passenger wheel is first gen rav4 L and those motors.. the first gen first series had issues with sludging that causes them to eventually eat head gaskets. Mine died at 395k miles from a failed steering rack.. pretty common with these.. also they are timing belt and interference.
always good to get spare things why i liked junked cars you don't know whats in them also much rather have the other red car rather then the bmw badged mini you can cruch those anytime jay, though i'll admit that one is alright
A A people rebuild classic cars that have been sitting in a barn or in the woods for that past 40 years. I’m sure a scrapyard find can be rebuilt to be used a daily beater for cheap.
toyotas philosophy that i hope they continue to do, is make affordable cars that are reliable and low cost maintence and will sell like hot cakes. this van is a prime example.
Lol what funny about this is firend of my just pick up a 98 Toyota Sienna under 2000 Toyota Camry Both with the exact same engine both having transmission issues. The sienna tho has 469.000kms and the camry has 301.000kms But saying that there's one had a good transmission though. Definitely hurt lol hahahaha
Looks like it needs a new bumper and you can sell it as Is my dad had a old 90s or 80s Sentra and if it wasn't rotting out he probably still would have had it because I could have sworn at one point the exhaust was falling apart and became straight piped
I was wondering how I get in touch with you guys and maybe buying parts are you guys a salvage yard or just junkyard I hate to use that term junkyard I like the word salvage yard better for the environment and better for your wallet lol

I had a 2002. Those things are bulletproof. Sold it with 228K. Saw it recently with 248K.
Lol most toyotas are.
Nice
Love the Cavalier. Looking forward to seeing the video on that.
I love it, too 😀
Haha “put the hood prop down...” drops the wiper 😂😂
Of course it runs, it is a Toyota!!!! Looks decent, could still serve a new owner for a while yet.
barry phillips with a blown head??
needs more work than its worth doing
MrBD it needs new head gasket, catalytic converter(or not) power steering, front bumper, interior/exterior freshen and that’s all I can see.

@@VeyronBD $1000 for a Sienna ... maybe a crappy Dodge for that price

Has a column shifter like a truck!
leaky exhaust always make car sound cooler
Yeah
I think with a little attention that sienna has another 100 in it.
Might b good for a beater around town
My 2002 Sienna XLE 3.0 has just over 316,000 miles on it and still runs good, bought it in 2004 with 39,000 miles on it
Clean van . those early ones hard to come by. Almost didn't recognise Tim without his flannel.have a good day
*Slldin doors, slidin seats, good times!lol*
I love to see a vid on that old 1st gen Cavi.
Tims as good as a weatherman
I love it when a old neglected cars gets some love.
My aunt has a 2003 Sienna with almost 400k miles and it still runs and drives great with original engine and tranny
Was that an old UPS truck in the background?🤨
Can't wait to see the video on the cavalier. Loved those especially the z24s
My sister has a 2000 Toyota Avalon, (same engine) it runs and drives fantastic and has 296k miles. We LOVE that car .
After looking at used SUVs I bought an 2011 AWD sienna with 100000 miles. The sienna was a nicer vehicle than any of the SUVs.
Gold badge Toyota... That's my jam right there
Weatherman Tim! My driveway is one solid sheet of ice.. Just getting to the Corolla is fraught with peril. Wish me luck
Cameron D.F Chisholm Luck wished.
Julian Mahoney couldn't have done it without you !

Sounds like a 80s Toyota pickup gotta love that sound
Seen that red cavalier love to see that one. A hatch back. Love those
I just picked up a 98 very nice van 194,000 miles on it
I had (and still have) one of these. They were VERY good vans but unfortunately the V6 in these were somewhat pissy. 0:48 Something sounded like a C10 starting up
Bruh that actually sounds kinda good lol
Love the GM J body.
A early 2000s Toyota still runs? Why am I not surprised that era of Toyota is indestructible I should know because I drive one (2000 4runner)
always good to get spare things why i liked junked cars you don't know whats in them also much rather have the other red car rather then the bmw badged mini you can cruch those anytime jay, though i'll admit that one is alright
The junkyard superhero in his alter ego Tim, Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No its FLANNELMAN!!!!!!
nice sound
Hey whatever happened to the Cimarron?
Ooh, Tim you lookin like a snacc!🔥
Why do so many people think you can save every car that comes through the yard? It’s called a scrapyard for a reason.
A A people rebuild classic cars that have been sitting in a barn or in the woods for that past 40 years. I’m sure a scrapyard find can be rebuilt to be used a daily beater for cheap.
SC ain't the only place getting screwy weather, we got it up here in Bristol to.
The sun doesn't make it warm?!!!! Think you need a vacation Jay 😂
Real Trucker a vaca to Portland fucking Oregon where sun doesn’t exist
One can only wonder what Tim's five-day forecast would be like.
Would it be possible to make a video of the red car in front of the MINI?
toyotas philosophy that i hope they continue to do, is make affordable cars that are reliable and low cost maintence and will sell like hot cakes. this van is a prime example.
Tim’s a OG
Im curious what do you guys do with the cars?
What ever happened to that Previa you guys had? Did it get scrapped?
I think that car is about done with
Tim’s a soccer mom
Hey you watch neutral drop?
thats a good channel!
CarGuy90 yeah totally!
CarGuy90 haven’t watched it in a month though but imma watch it tonight
why it is sounds like a diesel engine but its run great it needs a major overhaul and can be used as a daily car after fixing
Is the sun visor in there not have a busted mirror hinge? I need one for mine 2000 Sienna with 291K.
Hi Jay how is your house coming along
What ever happened to the obs you traded on
That rim you said kinda looks like a Mazda rim is actually a rav 4 rim
Pull the stereo out of it build you a dirt ramp and jump it a few times then crush it.
Nah its to clean.... 🙄
Runs good fix the back seats and put a bumper on it and sell it to someone who needs one
Have a good night! :3
That thing sounds nice i would own that
Take that nice Pioneer stereo system out
this southeast weather has been insane. i'm in GA and i get what tim's trying to say but i'm just a wee bit more accurate heh
It's got 285K on it, but those were not loving, well cared for miles----that thing is beat. I wanna see that Cavalier video

“The sun doesn’t make it warm.”
Good luck Jay smart im from morocco
My mom has a 2004 with 146k miles and it still drives like it came off the showroom floor. And looks it after I detail it lmfao
It’s in pretty bad shape either use it around the yard or just Neutral drop it itd make for a good video
Cool.
That is an old red 1982-1985 Caviler J body 2 door.

6:20 Fastest I've ever seen a Sienna go from 0-35 mph
Someone was probably conceived and born in that
Cool 😀
I'm not surprised, you can't kill a Toyota.
Sad thing is i know people in my town that would daily that if they had it 😂
Unlike Chrysler/Dodge, Toyota's last a long time and they don't use cheap plastics
Fiddles and Banjos
Good ole 1mzfe fuckin mint
If that Toyota had any care in it's 25 year life it doesn't show it, rest in peace you had no love in your life what a pity.
my mom had one of these when I was a kid xD
Soccer mom?
theres a bug on your windshild
Looks like it needs a new bumper and you can sell it as Is my dad had a old 90s or 80s Sentra and if it wasn't rotting out he probably still would have had it because I could have sworn at one point the exhaust was falling apart and became straight piped
