Perhaps this is a sign that bendy is trying to fight off the ink demons will.

Meanwhile, Bendy here, unfortunately got infected with that same Ink Demon side he inherited from Joey, and it corrupts him briefly when he has strong negative emotions. Giving him a Jekyll & Hyde dilemma, and he wants to get rid of the evil corrupted side without hurting/killing himself (like washing it off with holy water). It's bad enough that he's own "father" killed many lives, human & toon alike, for his own selfish gain, now Bendy has a part of his father that makes him a monster against his will. While his "sister," Audrey, has been living a lie her whole life.
