Pretty cool, you also definitely got that stick flip down. Getting a proper drum throne would help your posture (especially with not having to bend your left wrist as much). Keep it up!
oh my gosh, my brain hurts trying to follow that .. 65 yrs old and have always known I have zero music ability, but this just confirms it !! Good thing I can still listen to it !!
It really doesn't matter where you put the snare. You can put it on 1 and 2, or on 2 and 3,... or on all 3. It's still 3/4 time. It doesn't really matter how it's played. It matters how you count it. Even if you put the bass on all three, it still doesn't change the signature. i.e. 123,223,323,423 ....and so on. Mostly associated with the waltz, but it all depends on how you swing it.
Rowl, just subscribed bc these are great tutorials - very practical and useful for a guitarist wanting to learn drumming concepts. Is there any chance you can add a song like the Beatles Lucy In the Sky w Diamonds with a 3/4 tutorial for the verses (or another song if that works better)? Trying to internalize the 3/4 time signature and 6/8 ( I think Metallica's Nothing Else Matters is 6/8...? Or is that actually 3/4? Are they different?). Thanks so much.
You should try 19/16, one of my favorite time signatures to play. If you listen to Pale Blue Dot by Dream Theater, they play in 19/16 in the beginning of that song. Time signatures are fun lol

Super job!more please.👍👍👍🎶🏋♂️🎶
Great job - keep posting, drummers need all the help we can find.
This is very beginner stuff here
As a professional drummer, I would highly recommend that investment in a drum throne that is comfortable. It can help with your posture and technique
I think that is what you get in public school.
She's in school so its what she gets. I'm sure with time she will invest in one.
@markheard4334 Ah I hear ya
Yes, it was hurting me to watch her sit in that folding chair
do they seriously call it a 'throne' ? As a non musician, that's just hilarious to me !!
Great lesson! Rock On!!
Sweet throne, bro.
Already better than most guys that claim to be "metal"

Great job I actually played one of this beats with a band its a beat they use in corridos
Very good!
Many of the 3/4 songs are 1 on the bass drum and 3 on the snare.

@@ronnieroxx13I know it’s a long answer question, but where does the bass player fit into these rhythms?
i thought its another ph intro beat but it was good suprise haha
You need to learn the fact that the PH beat was a drum beat before it was the PH beat
