My goodness they are singing songs I never heard before. Really old songs, but I loved them all. This 2 are fantastic. They had me clapping and stomping my feet. I sure missed a lot in my life. I'm speechless.
There are many videos available on TH-cam of their exciting performances of songs from their early days before the ballad hits when they sang more rhythm 'n' blues and rock 'n' roll -- the Moonglow Years, especially on the great Shindig. 🎶😊
One thing I regret is that I never got to see them in person I missed out .I love them together and solo. Its sad to think Bobby didn't take care of himself.I've read Bill's book and got an in depth history of the Righteous Bros. So wonderful to see these videos of them !!! No wonder all of my friends (college and high school) were crazy about them !!! Sad that Bobby Hatfield died so young. I watch his Unchained Melody video all the time. Never tire of it. ❤️❤️❤️. I was sad to see that Bill Medley's first wife was murdered by a serial killer. They only found the killer in the last few years with new DNA. 💔💔💔. They (the Righteous Brothers) brought so much joy to all of us, and still do. 💋💋💋
Bill scared me and Bobby, on soul and inspiration. Good to see them enjoying themselves. They are the greatest, love them. Love that Bobby introduced and dedicate Unchained Melody to his mama, so sweet. 🥰

Bobby looked so handsome until the last year of his life. The last performance I saw in 2003 was the rnr hall of fame. He looked and sang so amazingly. Bill looked good too, but Bobby....WOW! Silver fox .I have grown old with them I'm 2 years younger.
The year, 1965, our HS graduation year. The Righteous Brothers were at the top of their game. Our school them was Ebb Tide. That song forever etched in all of our hearts. Thank you.
Thanks to Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann for all their great music. The greatest husband/wife writing team ever. And Bobby's still got jumpin' beans in his jeans! He's so adorable!
Let It Be Me is a favourite of mine. Bobby's voice suited it perfectly. I wish he had sung that one solo. I have great admiration for song writers and Bobby and Bill had two of the best. At the end of the day it all comes down to the songs. Bobby sure had da mooves. Someone said he was a fabulous dancer and I can believe that. He had wonderful rhythm and yes, he couldn't stand still. So cute!
Welcome to the wonderful world of what is known as blue-eyed soul. It is truly timeless music, and The Righteous Brothers were the absolute best. The story about how the group was named (according to my recollection, anyway) was they were playing somewhere in the South, and a black serviceman stood up during one of their performances and yelled out, "That's righteous, brother!" Bobby Hatfield did "Unchained Melody" in 1965 in one in only one take and nailed it completely. Nothing in the way of voice enhancers or whatever else is used nowadays. Pure, raw talent. You need to do a video reacting to both of them singing "You've Lost That Loving Feeling." He and Bill Medley (the other half of the "brothers" part) also performed on at least one episode of a music talent show in the 1960s called, "Shindig!" That one will definitely blow your mind!
In an interview with Bill Medley, he said that a group of black Marines from El Toro Marine Base(Orange Country, Calif.) had heard there were these two white guys singing R&B in L.A. area, so they went to the club to hear them sing... After one of their songs one of the Marines stood up and said, "that's Righteous, brothers!" Which of course, meant really cool.. great! And having still never really settled on a group name that they liked up to that point, Bill & Bobby thought..'Alright, that's what we'll call ourselves, "The Righteous Brothers"!' And the rest is Legendary Music History❣️🥰😍🤩
@@robinmcintyre3472 In the Andy Williams show in 1965 during their introduction/interview with Andy, Andy asked them how they got their name and Bobby said they were down South performing in a club when someone stood up and said “ that is righteous brother” and that is how they got their name.
Definitely deserving a place in the R&R Hall of Fame. These guys were so good together! They sang with their hearts and souls and their fans appreciated how much they put into their performances. Glad these tapes exist, especially those with good sound. This recording was made in 1983, almost 40 yrs ago, according to one of the comments. Wow. Still listening.

These lads were at their best the earlier they sang/performed, their original vocals are to be cherished, that is an LP that cannot, simply cannot be replicated digitally. I believe so anyway
My favorite music of my favorite group The Righteous Brothers is from their beginning in 1962 of some blues, rhythm 'n' blues, and rock 'n' roll. There are many of these songs recorded in "The Moonglow Years", which is available on TH-cam. They performed many of them on the great Shindig television show, which is available on TH-cam. And they performed some of them in their concerts up until 2003, when they were finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and then Bobby Hatfield left his life later that year. 🎶✨
This is the first time that I listen to the Righteous Brothers more than just a few songs. They are totally awesome. Their harmony is something else. WOW, so smooth like velvet and silk. Never sound harsh. This two are amazing. Wonder why I never heard more then a couple songs by them. Yes, Bobby makes even me swoon.
Down below "Bobby was so cute!" Agreed. And, Bill Medley was, and still is, what we teen girls called "a handsome hunk." We female baby boomers may be not be young, single & childless anymore, but we can still appreciate attractive men. Since these 2 were both born in 1940, that means they are in their mid-forties here - still looking & sounding GREAT! Best Wishes all.

@@dawnaberry8452 - Good morning. It sounds like my age calculations were off. When I saw Bill Medley, w/ new partner Bucky Heard a couple of years ago, he announced he had just celebrated his 79th year. His hair was grey, but his voice sounded great. After all these decades he, clearly, loves to perform. Since he's got a net worth in the tens of millions, he doesn't have to do so to pay the rent. I became a super fan when I read his autobiography; he's a great father who stepped up to provide for his ex-wife's son as well as his own son & daughter, after her murder. Meeting him after the show was a thrill. Anyway, Best Wishes to you.
He could act, too. He had a small part in a tv movie with Lee Majors. The movie wasn't very good, but Bobby was. The movie is called The Ballad of Andy Crocker, on Amazon Prime. Bobby was one of those people blessed with the ability to excel at whatever they chose. Miss him lots.

Yes, Barry Rillera was so good. He originally introduced Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley to each other. I just love his solo in this show. And, yes, all of the musicians were good in this show.
This was a live special they did. THESE ARE A FEW OF THEIR SONGS they did in the beginning of their careers. But over their careers they were also known as the blue eyed soul Bros. They been singing together since the early 1960's.A few breaks here and there but mostly together.
Ahhh...such a great show! So good to especially see Hal Ratliff, pianist, being introduced....such a very gifted artist in his own right! 45:40 I can vouch to say that he has had a very personal impact on me and members of my family.
This show was done sometime in 1983; because at around the 37. minutes mark; Bobby Hatfield dedicates the song he just sang (Unchained Melody ) to his mother , who is in the audience there, and states that she recently celebrated her 78th birthday. She was born in 1905 and died in 1984 I think.

This version of Loving Feeling is excellent, but the remastered version from 1965 will never be surpassed.
Bobbys Summertime is out of this world.
NOTHING could have wiped the smile off of my face, while I was watching this. It brought back the memories of my youth and then I cried for thirty minutes…I am now 80.
Never get tired watching and listening to Bobby Hatfield's Unchained Melody. Bobby Hatfield, you are God's gift to millions worldwide.
Great show! Bill is in top form here. Bobbie is endearing, though his 1965 live performance of Unchained Melody is unsurpassed; and the band is fantastic.
tremendo binomio ya no hay duos asi en este 2023 bobby hatfield y el sr.medley lo mejor de mis tiempos desde lima peru su hincha descansa en paz amigo hatfield tu musica vivira x siempre donde estes ntp.
Both are BEYOND Great. As a singer myself, Bobby's breath control on Unchained is off the charts. I love that decrescendo at 32:25.
Phenomenal 😁😍👏👏👏👏👏
Not just his breath control but the richness of his voice his vocals, his rich Tenor-counter tenor, all of it just created a masterpiece
Ich lieben es,Bobby beim sprechen zu zuhören und wenn er erst
lacht.......
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The Rightious Brothers were my late husbands favourite .Nice to listen too them again xx
Ah Bobby's smile just melts my heart and soul, along with his sparkling blue eyes💋
Reminds me of a song called "Close To You,"
One thing I regret is that I never got to see them in person I missed out .I love them together and solo. Its sad to think Bobby didn't take care of himself.I've read Bill's book and got an in depth history of the Righteous Bros. Actually Don't think I'm crazy but I've read it twice.I couldn't put it down but the second time I appreciated it even more.I'm glad to see them in this video doing a live special before Bobby passed.Bill Melody is still singing and performing today who knows Maybe I get the experience yet. Imagine the yrs they were together they were still magic doing this special Maybe they sounded a little different but hey they aren't 23 here.
You are right. This was a little beyond their prime, but they are still so good! My husband and I graduated high school in 1966/1967. They were very popular then. They were our faves.
Oh how I love Old Time Rock & Roll!!! The "music" now is almost non existence!! I'm so happy we have these guys & other greats of the 50's~60's~70's on tape 9:52 !!!! Righteous Brothers were pure GOLD!! 🌹♥️🌹
Saw these guys in concert at Sacramento in 1967... DEFINITELY ONE OF THOSE UNFORGETABLE CONCERTS!!! What a show they put on. They were "Blue-Eyed Soul" at its best....
Saw them every time they were on my area
In my area
Oh, wow. I'm in Sacramento now, and sad that I never saw them in person. Lucky you .
Eine Menge Lieder brachten sie hier.
Grosse Bewunderung😊😊😊😊😊
So wonderful to see these videos of them !!! No wonder all of my friends (college and high school) were crazy about them !!! Sad that Bobby Hatfield died so young. I watch his Unchained Melody video all the time. Never tire of it. ❤️❤️❤️. I was sad to see that Bill Medley's first wife was murdered by a serial killer. They only found the killer in the last few years with new DNA. 💔💔💔. They (the Righteous Brothers) brought so much joy to all of us, and still do. 💋💋💋
Simply the best love you bobby
Bill Medley & Bobby Hatfield is LOVE.❤❤❤
Bill scared me and Bobby, on soul and inspiration. Good to see them enjoying themselves. They are the greatest, love them. Love that Bobby introduced and dedicate Unchained Melody to his mama, so sweet. 🥰
ABSOLUTELY AN AMAZING N ONLY GRREATEST DUETS EVERRRR 😂ON EARTH 🌍 BOBBY N BILLL OMG 😆 LOVE 💕 U BOTH LOTS N SOOO DARN GOODLOOKING🥰💙💙I TRULY ENJOY UR MUSIC ESP UNCHAINED MELODY 🎵 😂🎉❤
Bob and Bill sing through this whole show so beautiful just love these guys I miss them so much together
Bobby keep rocking in heaven cuz son you know you can sing
Bobby Hatfield is in rockin' roll heaven!
Ich hoffe es gibt einen solchen himmel in dem er singt.
They're amazing! Their choice of material, the pacing, the band. And some men reach their peak of attractiveness when they hit their fifties -- as an older broad, I feel free to say that. They sure look good to me!
Bobby looked so handsome until the last year of his life. The last performance I saw in 2003 was the rnr hall of fame. He looked and sang so amazingly. Bill looked good too, but Bobby....WOW! Silver fox .I have grown old with them I'm 2 years younger.
I’m totally agree with you !!
While Bobby Hatfield is my favorite, of course Bill Medley is good too. His performance of "Brown Eyed Woman" here is so moving and captivating.
Loved these guys. Everytime I hear Bobby I find it sad to know he is gone. What incredible voices they had together. Harmony was beautiful.
Those were the days, love this song.
Hello hope your days are filled with love and peace. I agree they were both great but I think that Bobby should've been recognized more for his talent and his beautiful voice but that's my opinion. He still lives in our hearts and I'm sure he's singing up there as well. Rest In Eternal Peace Bobby and We Miss You.🙏🌹🙏🌹🙏🌹🙏 Till We Meet Again. 💔💔💔💔💔
Yes, Bobby was the greatest I ever heard, and I don't understand why his extraordinary talent wasn't recognized more. Today's music just can't stand up against either of the Brothers.
@@dawnaberry8452 Bill pays tribute to Bobby at his shows and when he sings Rock and Roll Heaven, at the end he sings "and Bobby has a hell of a band".
@@gloriaherron4582 You may have seen a clip of an Ocie awards show in Orange County, Ca where Bill receives an award. In his remarks, he said that Bobby always " kicked his a--on stage." He also said that Bobby was
" the greatest singer in the world." So true. but Bill is great too. Two of Bobby's children Vallyn and Dustin accepted an award for their father. Same program, different clip.
Bill and Bobby could hum better than people can sing in this day and age
@@dawnaberry8452 I agree. Bobby had a voice all it's own. I think personally, Bobby had the best personality and voice. But together they were awesome!
Righteous Bros singing Bob Seger songs!!.. Just Plain Righteous! Amazing, Where did this kind of Quality Vocal entertainment GO???? The crap today sucks in comparison.
Love them!
Their music was part of my childhood and at 67 years old I remember the lyrics of their songs.
I had the distinct pleasure of seeing these fabulous guys in 1965 while I was stationed with the Air Force in Florida, again in 1975 at the Hollywood Bowl and then in the 80s in Los Angeles at the County Fair. Blue -eyed soul, the best. Bobby is truly in Rock n’ Roll heaven. Thank you guys.😥👍🏽👍🏽💔💕
Liebe und Güte strahlen Bobby aus jedem Knopfloch. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
I loved unchained melody by Bobby Hadfield I think he was so handsome for a blonde 👱♂️
@RenaConroy nobody loved him before, like today. Bobby has finally got our attention ! What did it take? "A song like Unchained Melody!" A blast from the past! Handsome man!
Two beautiful men with exceptional awesome voices ❤❤
You said it. Bobby is adorable
Incredible, just incredibly, they were, they never changed a bit even as they aged over sixty yrs or so. FANTASTIC.
Whenever Bobby is singing I try to see when he takes a breath but I can’t,other singers I can .
It's hard to see but watch real close
He is very likely breathing into his back.
@@VIDEOHEREBOB ,mmm never heard of that !!
This is beautiful to be able to watch Bill and Bobby sing sing so many of their golden songs. I cannot get enough of them.
It doesn't get any better than this! Thank you!!
Two of the best talents ever!!
Love their humour and repartee. As a teenager I would have called Bobby a 'heart throb' - he just exudes charm to accompany his magical vocals.
I thought Bobby was a best looking.
@@jessiem276 - Good AM. Yes, Bobby was very good looking. It's just a matter of personal taste to choose a favorite. I got to meet Bill M. after a concert; he was 79, his hair is grey, but his eyes still sparkle as does his personality. Best Wishes.
This program was taped in 1983 or '84. They were 43 0r 44 yrs, still sounding great, consummate performers.
Bobby looked like he would be a good dancer. Very talented man 💙
He could act, too. He had a small part in a tv movie with Lee Majors. The movie wasn't very good, but Bobby was. The movie is called The Ballad of Andy Crocker, on Amazon Prime. Bobby was one of those people blessed with the ability to excel at whatever they chose. Miss him lots.
@@dawnaberry8452 Thanks! I'll try to find it 💙
Yeah you could tell he knows how to dance just by the way he moves when he sings you know he can dance now bill it's a little bit stiff so I don't think he can really dance good but he can sure sing
@@phyllisrogers847 Watch him and Bill do Wha'd I say with Andy Williams on the same show that he sang his infamous Un chained Melody. He does some great moves. also the Something Special show, he an Bill doing "My Babe." Bobby really gets down in that one.

Blue Eyed Soil in its perfection..One of a kind pair that will be missed.
Listen to Bobby sing " If I Ruled the World". It is a slice of heaven!
Oh yes! I discovered it about 3 months ago, and I couldn't believe that any song he did could be as beautiful as "Unchained Melody. But this one runs a very close second.
Always knew these guys could sing but never knew how much rhythm they had. They are rocking !!!!!
Their big hits were ballads, but in their early years -- the Moonglow Years -- they sang rhythm 'n' blues and rock 'n' roll, with many videos available on TH-cam of their early performances, especially on the exciting great Shindig. 🎶😊
I first heard the Righteous Brother's sing in 1966, while I was living in Miami, Florida.
Their songs were very much a part of the nightlife of that city back then.
Bobby's voice is pure soul!
That It Does. But There's A Little Bit Of Anxiety That I See Showing Through
Mr. Bill. Why I Would I Say That Is Because Of The Look On Mr. Bills Face When Bobby Drags The Song Along Time. For Me It's A Classic Song And No One Else Can Hold A Candle To This Rendition Of Unchained Melody. But That's My Opinion Ok.
Happy Holidays To You All And God Bless You.🙏🙏

So influential. We all love the righteous bros, and always will.
Saw them in person one time and I cherish that memory❤️👏❤️
I still enjoy these types of concerts without all the dancers, lights, acrobats, etc. Thank you for posting onemediamusic :)
Both were great singers.
Concert was in 1983. Am looking at the date on a concert DVD that I just ordered. In my opinion this is a great concert. Fab musicians, especially Barry Rillera. Just enough humor. They gave it their all and it showed. When the recorder panned the audience there is a shot of Bobby's mother.
And at one point he introduces her to the audience. After the encore, he reaches down and gives her a kiss. He was such a sweet, genuine man!
Yes, Barry Rillera was so good. He originally introduced Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley to each other. I just love his solo in this show. And, yes, all of the musicians were good in this show.
Great job to ever single one on this stage, 25years later still hitting those notes like effortless...both had great voices
Read the description. It was filmed in '94.
