I love rescuing quilts abd other linens that are handmade. I'm like you, I want to rescue it because I recognize the time and effort it took to make it.
The idea of rescuing items crosses my mind a lot, especially when it comes to treasures made of metal that you know will be melted down. I sold a bunch of silver jewelry at a yard sale once, and I knew where it was going. It was a guy and he was weighing everything. I really regret that. For my eBay sales, I buy things that are interesting to me, that I would keep if I had the space. When the most unusual things sell, I am so happy, because I figure they are the ones that are most appreciated because they’ve been sought out as replacements for something they loved and lost or broke, or something that is just what they were looking for.
Love watching your regular price sold items because it’s more relatable to me. I am thinking of joining your group for help with sourcing what’s around me. I think I can learn a lot from you. You are very knowledgeable and I love your down to earth personality
tatting with tiny knots doilies,,, just love them,,, my paternal grandmother made them to support her 12 children extra income during her lifetime they were farmers,,,
I finally got a chance to check out your ebay store and OMG you have so many listings (7.6K) and at 8.38% sell through rate (908 sold in the last 90 days). I was like dang she is killing it for sales volume at 41K in the last 90 days and how to I get my 1539 (35K listed value) listed store with a 21% sell through rate (317 sold in the last 90 days) of $8.7K sold in the last 90 days up to Nurse Flipper 41K volume with the stuff I sell doing this for fun. Then I thought to myself, I would have to stick to higher end items and 4X my inventory. Also.... where the heck would I put all this stuff. I know you pay good money for stuff and sell it for good money considering your average $45 per item sale. I'm averaging $27 per sale but I still have a lot of lower priced stuff that I listed to learn from (stuff I had found around the house). I appreciate you sharing the wealth of knowledge and have you ever considered having a garage sale yourself or doing "what not" considering your huge following just to get rid of your older inventory and put some fresh money into sourcing? What ever you do, keep killin it. I'm a dude and I watch your channel to learn what the ladies like so I dont pass up on something I come across in the wild souring here in Cook/Dupage County IL.
So my issue with the huge following is they're all resellers not buyers so I don't get anywhere near what i want when I do whatnot. So I haven't been doing it as much
Thank you for making all these great videos Kat, you have helped me in so many ways and given me inspiration to keep going on e-bay part time. I'm very curious, where do you get your energy? lol. You do so much every day and I need some of that energy!
Last week was very slow for me on ebay and mercari but then everything shifted on Thursday and over 300.00 which is good for me especially since I just started ebay September 2nd. I appreciate your sharing and also the tips. I marked things down on items that have on mercari more than 9 months. Space is an issue for me. Thanks Kat glad you're back in the pink 💗
I think you should have used "pine needle" on the hot pads... I have some of various pine needle coasters, baskets... I love picking them up. If you can also identify where it was made or who made it can possibly help of course. I still need to list mine tho... 😆
I can't seem to sell my Joan River watches, and if I do it's a lot lower than I thought. I did get one BOLO from her and its the ladybug watch in her collection. Super cute!
Hi Kat! Thanks again for another fantastic video. You asked about the lion sheets you sold. I think both your photos were great or all your photos rather. You asked about if we thought perhaps the photo with more white area showing the greater length of the pattern of the lion sheet might have been better. I think perhaps it was only because maybe it would have given the buyer a bit more idea of what the sheet really look like an actual use. Please keep the videos coming! I do not know how you do it:-)
Thank you Kat, I did pick up lots of gorgeous hand embroidered, cross stitch table covers and plate mates, but almost all of them have stains and wholes and small rips. What would you do with them?? Should I list them or no you think? They are beautiful though. Thanks for being available for us, I bet you were very kind nurse ha?
Hi Kat, thank you for all you do! I have a question, how did you know those were vintage paperclips? Also how were you able to ship pillows for only $6 something? I have a blanket to ship and I’m not sure how to get a good price, thank you again :)
They were in a lot with a ton of MCM plastic items others I was able to date. So the shipping that shows on screen is ground advantage if it ships to me in my zip code, so most of the time the buyer paid more.
Hey there, so I have a few videos on sourcing and how and where to find auctions. Hello my name is Sandra. I was watching some of your videos on teacups. I inherited 10 teacups that are 80 plus years old. How can I get in touch with you to talk to you about the value of them. Thank u!
I don't do any valuation. If they're marked I recommend looking up the name and pattern on ebay for current prices. If you don't know pattern trying Google lens app normally works
I know you get bombarded with questions on that app sizer but I'm curious how it works. Do you type in the measurements or does it somehow do it from the photos. Seems impossible and probably the dumbest question I have ever asked! But you never know with crazy new technology 😃
I deleted Poshmark. I tried to buy something and the entire process was so overwhelming that I was ranting cuss words after 40 minutes of trying to make a $35 purchase. I've only made one other purchase from them, I believe, and it was also cuss, rant inducing. I get wanting to avoid fraud but FFS? I was actually asked to scan both sides of my drivers license and it still wasn't enough! Arghhh!

Thanks so much, Kat! Miss seeing that cute little Dalton in your videos:) Have a wonderful week!

It was a cool one for sure (would've been better if it was UF HAHAHAH)

Kat i have noticed a real slow down on Joan Rivers Jewelry this past year. Not sure why but in future I will only look for her higher end pieces.
Yes me too!
The lion sheets are awesome! Someone scored.
Yes they were so cute! They bought both sets!
Thanks for the tip about Smart Sizer. Gonna try it!

No it typically doesn't affect it

Hi Kat - Max Mara is a luxury brand, not mid range.
As far as reselling it's mid range with the 40-100 for me is what I was referring to
