Just a heads up, you could 100% be a very successful youtuber, voice is onpoint, you get to the point and no waste of time, get a better camera and its locked in for you
I watch a shit ton of youtube, and just tried to watch 8 other youtubers on this subject and i hated all of them, yours was awesome and your camera wasnt even as good as theirs, if you put more time into youtube im betting you will get a good following
I admit I've never used Tubilss myself but I've seen enough of them leak or fail to want to stay away. I just finally made the switch from HD tubes to soft Mousses.
Honestly, I just installed both front and rear for the first time. Rear tire I screwed up and I knew it, too. Tape too high, gouged it when spooning the tires on but I knew I may have to do it over again, I almost expected to as sort of a "learning experience". Of course it leaked. Front tire I learned from the mistakes, installation went flawlessly, dremoled the ridges off the bead, used armoral on the bladder and lots of it, taped it correctly, slimed the bead while installing the tire onto the rim, and torqued the rimlock correctly, yet it still leaked air after a 2 minute ride. I haven't tried this fix yet, but we'll see.
How does he do this? does he just use the Tubliss high pressure inner tube with the mousse outside? does he cut the mousse? Would be interested in trying this out!
I like slime in the high pressure bladder, only down side is slime can make the valve stem leak, maybe try a new one. I check high pressure bladder once a week, checking pressure can introduce junk to the valve stem again :( I've tried FlatOut in low pressure, I love it, but can fowl valve stems too. I run a mousse in front tire, but trail riding, I run Tubliss in the rear :)
I have a question don’t take offense to this why have tubliss and run 10-12 psi when a new nitro mousse is equivalent to 8-9 psi but you have better rim protection I run mousses that won’t change but I’m just a curious mind great videos by the way you’re the only channel I see that makes color saturation look so damn good!!
Hey I appreciate the compliments! Thank you. I'll likely do a video on this exact thing in the future. To answer your question though, I enjoy the "feel" of having bouncy cushioning air. Nitro Mousse are awesome and I was contemplating finally putting one in the front the other day but they feel a little "dead" compared to actual air. I used to have double tubliss, and after numerous rear flats went mouse in the rear. My front is a remnant of that. As much as I like the feel of air, it will likely eventually go mousse as well.
Atlas Enduro that “no worries feeling” really helped me in technical stuff I never worry about absolutely punching a square edge with my rear wheel and it may be just me but I’m faster with mousses I know that sounds dumb but with air (tube) it seemed my tire tried to creep and follow loose rocks and I got more feedback to my hands but that may just be a preference of mine but mousses not nearly as much of either of those then again may be in my head
Get Outdoors after going mousse front and rear, I can’t see going back. The front mousse acts like a steering stabilizer when it gets super rocky/chunky. It just tracks and doesn’t deflect. Feel much more confident barreling through Gnar with the mousse on the front
I run the tubliss front and rear and have never had a leaking problem or breakdown on the trail (just good luck I guess). However I did look at the mousse, the drawback for me was my KTM 450 ESX is street legal and I ride it to / from my trail rides. From my research the mousse don't take that kind of heat generation very well and tend to break down. Again, only what I could find testament to, I do not have any personal experience with the mousse.
It does! Don't use soapy water if putting in tire slime. The instructions go over this. Instead coat the red liner and inside tire bead with the slime before installing the tire. If adding slime to an existing Tubliss, clean out the soap first.
It works well. I found it reduces the air it leaks sometimes entirely or enough to only need to check on it every couple weeks. Each time you change the tire you'll need to redo it.
Wait, why don't you release the high pressure chamber? The instructions go over this and call it "resetting the system". They say, "... deflate the bladder and bounce the wheel on the ground while rotating it. This will work the sealant between the tire's bead & RED Liner." Also, be sure the system is free of soapy water or soap residue if adding sealant to an existing Tubliss install and don't use soap in new installs (instead lube the red liner and tire bead with the sealant before mounting the tire).
Tubliss is such a waste of money. It’s kinda cool but damn they all leak. Garbage product. If you have a leak with a tube, it’s your tube. Replace it. If you have a leak with Tubliss…. Good luck. It’s a nightmare to diagnose and fix. My bike has been down for over a week because I can’t get it to hold air. My local shop is always getting calls from people that put a Tubliss setup on. They usually swap back to tubes.

Good job , Mite . Be safe and take care , God bless .

I use a soft mouse in the rear, and will eventually do the same for the front! The assurance is so nice!

Also the price is extremely high in my opinion
My buddy uses old mouse's with the tubliss bladder and it works amazingly, something to maybe try with your old mouse

I have a slow leak at the high-pressure stem. I am running slime in both high-pressure chamber and in the low. Still leaks.

I guess the sealant doesn't interact with the soapy water you used when installing the tire?

Wearing your helmet while filming. 🤘🏽🤘🏽 always wear protection
Haha! I am just here to ride! ALL THE TIME!! :P
Atlas Enduro Sunday??
How has this worked out for you? Did it have any more problems after this?

If you get stuck Joey and Chandler will always help you 😂
I know why you were watching this!
@@TheIdlesurfer because my front tubliss leaks?
@@Bikesbikesbikes500 or maybe you put the retaining nut on your 701 rim on the wrong side. Mystérieux.
@@TheIdlesurfer
I did exactly that then I moved it to the other side and only then did it start leaking
@@TheIdlesurfer id know that low front guard anywhere!
