As always matt and the crew made this look like a simple recovery when in reality over half the people here wouldn’t have been able to recover it without damage and so on so forth like Matt and the crew did great job guys and can’t wait to see you at the off-road games
I had my little 68 Corolla out on the trails one day...had one of those side hills show up....and it was freshly graded and loose...Floored it and drifted sideways across it, front end pointed at the sky, back end pointed at the creek below. Made it across, up and out....hah...and there was nowhere else to go...had to do it again the other way. But I had to nose down the hill first, then spin it around facing up again...
I love the wrecker so much! The body style the rear steering those big knobby tires and it’s just such a freaking beast! It’s so hard to really tell how steep this is. There’s certain spots in the video you can really see the steepness but I still don’t think it’s doing it justice. Nice job boys!
Matt wearing a jacket what's up with that, it must have been too cold even for Matt, he wasn't even under the weather as far as we know. Keep up the good work MORR!!!!!
7:03 The good ole "Dad tax." We've had that one at our house for years! Lol. And I think Paul did a recovery in this exact same spot just a few weeks ago!
This is why you shouldn't go off trail. All it takes is one set of tire tracks and people will follow it wondering where it goes. And it doesn't take much to make it look like a legit trail. After a couple seasons they'll be so beat into the ground that nature isn't going to make them go away. At least not in our lifetime. Out here in the deserts of the Southwestern US, once you break that top crust to the soil it'll take decades for it to "heal." With a bit of intervention that timeframe can be shortened considerably but it takes a LOT of work.
Not a complaint but honest ?????? I was in search and rescue for years. Whenever we went out on a search / recovery or rescue mission there was a list of items we all had to have in our vehicles such as Tools, Radios, Recovery gear, first aid kit, tire chains if in winter etc. I know you run multiple recovery rigs so why wouldn't a professional recovery company do the same for each vehicle? These are basic items that each vehicle should have and if you have a set for each then you don't get out on a job with wrecker and say oh dang the tools are in another rig. Now that the rig is set up then comes getting ready for actual mission, so rig needs pre trip inspection. Pre check on the vehicle you are using, fluid levels, fuel, chassis inspection tires, greasing or job s[icific items like extra tow ropes etc. Lastly is individual readiness, coats, gloves, boots or whatever for time of year and what you are doing the recovery in. I mentioned I was in search and rescue, when we got a call, we had 15 minutes from the time the call came in till you were ready to go and at the meeting location. In our case the sheriff's office. I know you have mentioned that each person is responsible for a vehicle. Maybe you can use these guidelines to facilitate easier recoveries in future. I love your videos, but it drives me crazy when you are on a recovery, and I hear (we had to yell and scream at each other because we didn't have our radios)
They won't see your comment. People have badgered them for a long time about radios. And the other things you mentioned as well. And others you didn't. These comments fall on blind eyes. Safety isn't high up on the teams list.
Theb - As a former harbormaster, I would see this constantly. People would forget some fishing gear, some boat objects, some clothing, shotgun shells ... but NEVER forgot the beer.
The incline in itself is sufficient, you don't need to rotate the image to picture it worst than it was, seeing the horizon at an angle and Matt walking at an angle is ridiculous.
I've got a strong Déjà vu watching this. This is the same spot where Paul Cox, aka Fab Rats recovered a vehicle. Published on 11 Dec 2024. Title: Christmas Tree Search GONE WRONG: This Family Could Lose Their Truck!
That's not a road that's just a trail on the side of a hill people started driving on nothing is ever going to be fixed no need to be just a trail on the side of a hill😅
Wonder if the PSI had to be adjusted before the recovery started . Definitely see the need of a 3-person team in these situations that have recovery experience .
Man, here in Arkansas...mild mild mild, Then 14 inches of snow, cold for two days...about to be 70's this week. Just keep winter clothes and a bathing suit in your car....
You could not have done that without the wrecker. When you see steam from the Toyota exhaust and Matt NOT in a t shirt then you know it is very cold. Good job.
The next thing you need to engineer are wheels that tilt to the angle of the hill, or some way to level the chassis like some of those construction fork lifts or telahandlers
I love your family of Matts offroad recovery. Never a complaint from anyone. It's just a great atmosphere ,I can't get enough. God bless your team 🙏. I wish I could hang out one day. Love you all ❤.
you fellas never fail to impress, love the content. And even more so that there are so many videos every week. Jake is a real crack up fella, really finding his place in the mix of characters!
i know this kinda comment is said more n more these days but life last few months have been crazy and watching you and your family work together and always in good moods with good edits and music just makes a day that much better… sometimes seeing what you dont have at the moment is good enough
Rather hoping to hear a little more, at the end, what it felt like from inside the rigs. It would make for a lot of work for the editors but a view from inside of the cab would have been sick. Hoping to have heard, from Colin, what it felt like being pulled backwards while at that angle. Thanks for doing such a great job Matt in explaining the challenges. Really felt for the customer. Had I been in his position would have kept thinking (with no reason to) it's got to get better because I can't turn around.
Any chance you could add controls to the suspension airbags that would let you can lean side to side so you could lean into a hill on the high side by deflating while inflating the low side?
I want to tell you how to do your job however I will refrain I've been out there when it's time to perform in difficult situations sometimes you just got to go with your gut and that's what I love about you Matt and your boys and your crew you try to keep a positive attitude and get the job done that's what it's all about
For some reason that 1 had me puckered. LOL. It wasn’t as life threatening as some of your other jobs, but it sure kept me on the edge of my seat.😮 Great job!
It's just too bad that joke Jackie had to speak. Again.... Someone get a muzzle. I'd rather listen to Lady,Maxx, and Peanut. That joke jake.... Do you actually pay him to say stupid stuff or is that him for real? Ain't no one that inept at everything...
Can you show us a list of jobs you couldn’t do? Are there even any you turned down? You guys are awesome, can you make your videos longer? I can’t wait to watch what you guys do and then it’s over too fast. 😂 keep up the good work.
It was not quite a Hold My Beer and watch this situation. Still, it was something you can only brag about to your friends who were there or have done the same thing. Great Video ...
I had the same thought. The trail is gnarly enough as it is, tilting the camera to exaggerate it cheapens the whole thing and smacks of fake TH-cam nonsense. It's a super impressive job, but with the camera tilt it makes it look like a minor one with camera tricks.
They need hand held radios in a hard mount charging station setup somewhere on the wrecker. Yes they did the recovery but radios would have made this much safer.
It is cold when Matt wear jacket.
Whut? It was only -7°C, basically bathing weather. 🤷🏊♂️
Snap
@@morilot Idk looks windy and theyre higher up so probably feels much colder up there
Damn you beat me to saying this. 😂😂😂

none of us could even figure out which way to pull it. The talent is unreal
I think you worded your sarcasm wrong 😂
@@ginger_nosoul love your astute comment.
Damn. It must be cold. Matt is bundled up
He lives in southern utah, so “cold” is pretty relative 😂
Nice job!! I'm glad that wasn't me on that side hill!!! Up and down is one thing but side hills.. NO THANKS!!
I had my little 68 Corolla out on the trails one day...had one of those side hills show up....and it was freshly graded and loose...Floored it and drifted sideways across it, front end pointed at the sky, back end pointed at the creek below. man that's one sketchy road you guys did an excellent job getting that truck down 👍.

Heal??? The place is stripped of top soil from dust storms decades ago. There's nothing to heal.
Sheesh. Not again. These steep side-hill tip and slips give me the willies. Nice work!
love the view of the WLORW Bonnet with the top of the head lights and the air intake, looks like a smiley face....

Love a good recovery. I remember the time you and Paul rescued a pickup leaning against a tree on a mountain. That was scary.
Isn't that the same exact spot as where Paul rescued a truck in his "Christmas Tree Search GONE WRONG" video? Like, the EXACT same spot? Cool place!
A literal goat path and I don’t mean it starts with “greatest”. Excellent recovery!
The owner of that truck looks familiar, is he a reoccurring character? Great job as usual guys.
That road needs to be fixed is an understatement....that is flat dangerous.
That's not a road that's just a trail on the side of a hill people started driving on nothing is ever going to be fixed no need to be just a trail on the side of a hill😅
Jake did a next level job on showing how steep that really was. I believe he has earned his jacket for sure.
You guys REALLY need wireless headsets.
That was pretty intense. Handled it like pros!
CUPHOLDERS. You need swivel cupholders used in sailboats for your vehicles.
Great recovery al of you 😊
Crazy recovery, first time i had any anxiety watching one of your recoveries.
You know its reeeallly cold when Matt wears a jacket!
Man that was sketchy, but as usual Matt makes it look easy! Great driving Kaulin! Jake is such a fun person to have on the team!
The wrecker is a BEAST!

I MISS LIZZIE,... HOW IS SHE AND HER FAMILY DOING??😔
GLOVES!!! Frostbite is a thing, even when it’s not super cold but you’re handling cold things.
Title of this video should have been "Time to do some sketchy sh......sure hope I get away with it".
Good to see ol' Hurricane livin' up to it's name
Hey Matt got a big jacket! It must be really cold.

Very rare when we see Matt in a jacket 🧥. 👍 🙏 😅😅
Same spot as Fabrats resqued a truck not long ago?
Though the spot looked familiar, they had a Ford F-150, in almost the exact same spot, a couple of months back.
Geez Kaulin...i guess it's a good thing Matt made extra sons! 😂
Who else was biting their fingernails when that front end started to slide off the trail & head down the mountain as Matt was dragging him backwards?
Like Matt's illustrations of lower 48
MUST BE COLD... Matt's wearing a jacket!
I think Paul had to do a recovery there too
Matt, I have a suggestion. I know you use the phrase "lower 48" and most people (I hope) know what that means. I suggest using "contiguous 48".
"It's quite an off-camber hill." Now that's an interesting notion. The whole hill is off camber. 😄
Matt stealing his kids snacks. Gold. Absolute gold.
