Thank you so much for posting this comparison video. I’ve been comparing the one I bought from an official store with another one I bought for half the price from a small online store and I’ve noticed that (1) the color of the puck is slightly different, (2) the edges of the charging puck is slightly raised at the edges, (3) the length of the cable is slightly different.
Do you realise how long a test like that takes to film? Firstly you have to kill the iPhone, then charge it fully then repeat the whole process, you’re talking probably 2 days worth of filming and then editing it all as well, only for people not to watch it because other people have already done the same test when these first came out 🤷🏽♂️
MA Tech. Lol I know what you. Firstly you don’t have to record the whole process. Just do the beginning then 50% then 80% and then 100% And as i am aware no one has done this on TH-cam. I have searched Use yours and your wife’s phone at the same time to compare using same wall plugs
Unless you test it with multiple power adapters it would be pointless as others peoples setup may differ to mine. Also I’m personally not concerned by the speed as generally I only charge when I’m sleeping so it’s always charged by the time I wake. Owning the plus or max phones gets you used to never having to worry about battery life during the day when charging over night. There are plenty of videos where tests have been done, considering the number of views it would t be worth my while buying a usb tester and then filming videos for it to be viewed by only a handful of people when there’s so many videos similar to that already (hence why my videos get buried in the search results).
I bought one in Aliexpress as you said replica and take the serial number from the box and Apple recognized it. Please could you check your serial number in your replica box?
I have the official oem magsafe charger at 20w adapter plus anker version as well and ankers pd nano is smaller than apples 20w adapter the size of apples 15w adapter(I’m in the us)
Considering the price of an original I’d say the genuine MagSafe isn’t priced too bad, however having used Qi chargers and 3rd party chargers for years unless you receive a physically damaged unit it’s unlikely it’ll be any different to a genuine one, don’t forget the genuine items are also made in China and can even come off the same assembly lines for some products! I’m actually using the MagSafe duo charger as my main charger and have passed my genuine MagSafe charger to my wife for her 12 pro max. I have no complaints with how either are working.
I’ve seen people claim there are but not been able to find any for sale myself. It’s also very sketchy trying to buy one as I’ve asked several sellers about the animation and they’ll claim it does and when it doesn’t have it they claim error in translation.
The chargers simply rely on getting enough power and then they’ll do the animation, if they get less than 18W then they just show the normal charging animation.
What power adapter are you using? Use a 20w adapter and it’ll do it every time. Also be sure to line up straight, if you attach it but don’t get it to lock on it’ll just start charging at normal 7.5w and won’t give the animation (this is more of an issue on the MagSafe duo as it’s easier to miss middle on that due to the material).
That’s the problem with AliExpress and why I don’t provide links for them, sellers remove the listing and then the links are broken. Watch the video and search based on what I advise in the video and you’ll find relevant listings.
I recently bought a fake magsafe, but when charging with my iphone 13 pro max, I noticed that it gets too hot. I would like to ask you if the real magsafe also heats And if that is normal? Should I still use this fake magsafe or not anymore? Because I have read somewhere that the original also heats up, but who better than you to confirm it for me Thank you in advance
All wireless chargers get warm to the touch including MagSafe ones, however it shouldn’t be getting so hot that you don’t want to touch it, if it does don’t use it as it will be damaging your battery.

Any different in it functionality?
When you turn off the adapter. You should wait 10 seconds. Because the adapter still has power when you turn it off for about 4 seconds.
Wait for what?
@@MATechTH-cam the capacitors and coils inside take a sec to unpower
You should do a test between them to see how long it takes to fully charge from zero to 100%
If you feed it 20w it shows the MagSafe animation so it will be putting out 15w so will be little to no difference between them.
No. You must use same wall plug for both. And run a test

It would be nice to check the charging rate with an usb power meter. 🤔

Will you be able to give the dimension of the original magsafe ring? The thinness of the ring (in mm) will do.
Exact specs will be on the apple store app, best to use that
any new links for this? the ones im finding dont have the apple logos and that stuff.
Links always change, just do a search for 1:1
Is the phone warmer with the fake one? Could you tell if its regulate power according to temperature?
Didn’t notice any difference as I usually charge over night and by morning it’s charged.
All MagSafe chargers get hot though.
any body knows speed of mag safe ali express and orignal how much time need for any 1%?
Hi, i know its late to ask but if you use 20 watt adapter with the fake one it will always show the animation?? 😊
On any of the ones available now the animation should work with the correct power adapter
Would you recommend a AAA replica?
What’s a AAA replica?
i really like your case, what case are you using?
I purchased mine elsewhere but it’s pretty much the same thing as this:
amzn.to/394o0vs
The finish of paint is different also
It’s bare aluminium but yes out did look different
I bought one in Aliexpress as you said replica and take the serial number from the box and Apple recognized it. Please could you check your serial number in your replica box?
They copy the serial numbers so I’m not surprised that it’ll show up.
MagSafe animation needs to have a accessory that has a nfc band to let iPhone know it’s ”authentic“
This one does (all of them seem to have it) the issue is explained in this video:

I have the official oem magsafe charger at 20w adapter plus anker version as well and ankers pd nano is smaller than apples 20w adapter the size of apples 15w adapter(I’m in the us)
I think everyone knows that at this point, apples chargers are all ridiculously sized in comparison to pd chargers others offer.
I wouldn’t trust charging with these, not gonna ruin my 1000+ iPhone to a knockoff uncertified charger

How's the charging speed between the two?
We charge over night so not too fussed about speed however it seems around the same as long as you’re using a 20w power adapter

Yes
Non ces une contrefaçon et tu vas abîmer ton iPhone et ta batterie ces un conseil à éviter ces produits contrefais
Are there any AliExpress MagSafe cases that come with the animation as well?
I’ve seen people claim there are but not been able to find any for sale myself.
It’s also very sketchy trying to buy one as I’ve asked several sellers about the animation and they’ll claim it does and when it doesn’t have it they claim error in translation.
Apple uses nfc for the case animations but not chargers so cases would probably not have the animation
