    The Alto TS310 is a great value for a 10" powered speaker. While not the most powerful, it punches well above its price. It's compact, looks good, and functions flawlessly. I love using mine for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and as an extension for my main system.

    If you don't have an Amazon prime account, you need one! I do almost all of my shopping through Amazon and many of the products on this channel are sold there. It's great to have the things I need show up on my doorstep in a day or two (or sometimes even a few hours). You can try it for free for 30 days here: amzn.to/3b6rAo1. Trust me, you won't go back to life before Amazon prime!

    Great video both in content and editing. While I'm not going to DJ anything I want one or two for my back yard / pool / wood shop area. What's the simplest/best way to send a music signal to a power PA speaker like this without a full DJ setup?

    Please give in detail of ground and contour switch function

    • @fayzereviews
      @fayzereviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ground: Removes the effect of the electrical ground wire. Helpful if you are have a ground hum/feedback. Contour: Applies a basic “smiley face” EQ that boosts the highs and lows.

    Are these speakers meant for fine listening at the desktop PC, assuming that it has a good soundcard or DAC/amp combo or are they overkill for that? Recommendations?

    • @fayzereviews
      @fayzereviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi! These are powered PA speakers meant for sound reinforcement at live events with larger crowds. They are more about volume than finesse - even one would be overkill for desktop listening. You probably want to look at a pair of studio monitors like the Pioneer DM40 I reviewed

    Hi, I want to replace 2x old Yamaha BR15 with something much more compact, will 2 of these be a good replacement?

    • @fayzereviews
      @fayzereviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! These will definitely be more compact and, in my opinion, the sleek cabinet is going to look a lot better than the bulky carpeted 15" speakers! You will lose some of the low end moving down from a 15" speaker to a 10" but you could always add in a small subwoofer like the Alto TS212S to fill the gap.

    I need two speakers for small-medium sized wedding venues. No crazy music just your generic wedding top 40 type stuff. Would a pair of these be loud enough and stay intact at higher volumes. If not would a pair of the 312's do the trick?

    • @fayzereviews
      @fayzereviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they would be loud enough but you would probably want more low end. If you could pair these with a subwoofer they would be great! Otherwise I say get the 312s :) Thanks for watching!

      @@fayzereviews Thank you for the reply. While I have you, I can't find an answer to a question. If i got two of these speakers, be it the 310 or 312...down the road if i wanted to add a sub, would the Yamaha MG06x have the capabilities? I'm not sure how routing would work. If you're able to help I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

    • @fayzereviews
      @fayzereviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@seantaylor532 You could add a sub, but you wouldn't do it with the mixer. Pretty much every subwoofer for DJs or live audio has "audio ins" and "audio outs." You would simply run the outputs from whatever mixer you have into the subwoofer ins, and then run a second set of cables from the subwoofers outs to the speakers.

    • @mwahlert

      Fayze Reviews to put it into perspective, if they were powered on in your living room, at 6-8’ away would you hear them hissing?

    • @fayzereviews
      @fayzereviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mwahlert Nothing of note. I can't say they're completely silent if your room is "pin-drop" quiet, but they are the same as any other quality speaker I've ever heard as far as the noise floor. Nothing that screams "ooh, that's noticeable" to me.

    Just ordered one of these for hobbyist purposes. They sound great! You're right, the 10 inch woofer does have its limitations with regards to bass, but for the price point its the best you can expect and more. Just one can fill my entire basement up with good quality loud music, minus the 30-50hz bass frequencies of course. I'm really looking forward to the next 4th series if there is one, focus on keeping the spl but adding in the ability to deliver lower frequencies accurately @ the same price point, would be a blessing!
