    Hi I’m happy to see someone other than me that don’t like the dampness problem and building from the foundation up to address that problem. I’m building in Aburi. So far my foundation has cost me $40k us. It’s 15 thousand sqft house. It get a little disappointing that you spend that much and the house is not up but in the long run it’s better + I’m on a slope

      Congrats on your project it will be an amazing home. Absolutely you cannot play with any damp problems it’s a lifelong home and needs to be done well. Keep pushing forward the house will surely come up slowly slowly x thank you for watching

      Your channel has been the most honest as far as estimate for materials etc
      Reality allot of others say it will cost less
      But it’s usually allot more

    WoW that is very very expensive build for what you have done sofar.

    • @princenikki
      @princenikki  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment, I guess it’s all relative to the design, spec and budget. The hyper inflation of building materials in Ghana and high structural specifications were the main cost drivers of our expenditure. However, considering that we were able to complete the whole ground floor at £75/m2 for 202m2 area is reasonable and falls in line with our expected forecast. Wait until you see how much we spent on casting the first floor slab where we had to use 25mm high tensile iron rods.

    Very strong foundation and loaded with a lot of reinforcement. Those two giant pillars, are they for something specific or to beautify the building?

    • @princenikki
      @princenikki  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your comment. The feature pillars are both for beauty and support for the first floor balcony from the family area. We actually have 3 of them. One at the back in the Alfresco or kitchen terrace area which is supporting the bedroom above. Have you watched our 3D walk through video?

    • @Bilegagn

      I didn’t watch the 3D walkthrough but I started and got a call on the phone and never went to complete it. Thanks for answering my questions. My stomach churn when I saw the number of iron rods in those pillars and knowing how much iron rods can cost, I applauded your efforts. Great job!

      Yes you certainly have to know what you want and sacrifice the extra materials on a build like this.
