    I just moved and I came here to feel less alone ❤ I’m completely on my own now. I’m stressed about money especially. I’m trying my best. I feel lonely. I feel weird. I feel unsafe.

      I feel the exaxt same way; lonely, unsafe, unprotected. And like she expressed it -- in complete upheaval and disarray. It is always this way, and always will be. The key is to ground oneself every single day, preferrably before sleep, with encouragement and words of affirmation and truth.

    Moving is tough. There's immense time and energy spent sorting our stuff and deciding which things to keep. We need to be patient and give ourselves time to settle in.

    You are an absolute doll, I'm 62, single, sold the family home, moved to Spain, I hated where I landed, I hated everything, I lasted 3 months, headed back to Ireland, in a house loaned to me by my friend and am now in limbo, exactly what you said, it was and now is an anxiety ridden existence which I feel will never stop. I appreciate your candour.

    They do say moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do. It's a new phase in your life and the walls are a blank canvass. You can make it what you want, a brand new start. And you say sorry for being away? You come first and it isn't selfish to put yourself first, especially when you have anxiety x

    Thank you for the video. Moved from a small country town near Buffalo NY to Florida 7 yrs ago. I was so excited to move to FL but then anxiety hit selling my family home and leaving my job of 17 yrs. I somehow got through it and we finally made the move. Within 6 months the novelty of FL wore off and I began to hate it. The people, traffic, heat, humidity, nosey neighbors, the sulfur smell from the sprinkler system in our townhouse development. I’ve regretted the move but my spouse really likes it here. I finally got him to begrudgingly agree to move back to home. Now the anxiety of moving is all coming back. As much as I dislike it here, the stress of buying and selling a home, forcing my my spouse to uproot his new life, leaving a job and coworkers I’ve come to like and starting all over again is giving me the same anxiety I had moving here 7 years ago. It’s almost bad enough at times I feel like calling off the whole move even though I know long term I’ll be happier to have my normal life back near family .

    Thank you very much for this video. I’m having almost the exact experience you had and am struggling to get through this, especially while dealing with mental health issues and a chronic illness. It’s so relieving to know that what I’m experiencing isn’t specific to me. Thank you very much again. ❤❤❤

      As someone who has both mental illness AND several chronic illnesses - I hear you and you're not alone 💕 It can be impossible to understand how difficult navigating both at once can be, unless you've gone through it. Chronic illness puts such an extra strain on everything. I hope you're doing well and are more settled now? And please know that you are never alone in this, there are others here experiencing the same. Feel free to reach out if ever you need any support!

    Thank you for making this video. I really needed to hear this. You put words to things I have felt during my move; upheaval and disarray are going right into my diary notes. It truly explains how it feels perfectly. The disorder of the situation, the uncertainties, the fears, the changes, it is alot. Moving is hard, no matter how prepared you are. I am very prepared, I began packing early, yet still feel out of myself. But this is how it is, and I try to show myself self-compassion that it is okay to feel this way.

    I searched for a video wondering if anyone shared similar thoughts/experiences that I’m going through right now and this resonated with me the most. I’m going through “apartment grief” since I just moved out of an apartment that I had many memories in and was my sanctuary. I didn’t think I’d cry when I closed that door for the last time and thought I might be ridiculous for feeling that way but I couldn’t help it. I took pics of the place and selfies around it. Time for the next chapter!

    I really appreciate you just opening up fully about many of your past experiences. I could relate to many of the feelings and isdues you were faced with. I struggle with several physical conditions that make life hard, restrictive and painful, and ive just moved over an hour away from where I've lived for the last 12 years. Its a big upheaval, totally foreign area to me, i have no support system here, so im definitely on edge a bit at the moment, and just scouring TH-cam on a sleepless morning looking for other people that can relate to this kind of scenario. I hope you're doing well, subbed, and I look forward to seeing more of your content

    I have severe Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and severe to moderate ME/CFS and have been moving for the past month. I have been doing my best to set up the house to be my new safe / comfy space, but I’m still struggling with a lot of anxiety. I really needed this video. Thank you for sharing your experience. ❤

    • @abigail_rebecca
      @abigail_rebecca  หลายเดือนก่อน

      My ME/CFS got properly diagnosed finally last year by our province's leading specialist and I've been finally supporting myself through his clinic and learning so much more about my illnesses/new diagnoses - watching this old video back, I have no idea how I managed to get through all this without completely crashing for even longer than I did! My commiseration is completely with you for what you're currently going through! Having ME and multiple sensitivities is so incredibly hard. Please be kind to yourself and pace whenever you can. One thing I do want to say is that eventually that feeling of upheaval/anxiety will lessen and things will improve. My home now absolutely feels like my safe space again and I don't miss my old place at all - I know that moving was ultimately the right decision. I hope you manage to set up your house bit by bit (take breaks in between!) and that it soon becomes more like home for you, too 💕

    I’m moving from a apartment to a house and I’m very nervous. It’s better in the way I can finally have my dogs with me (they are currently with my brother) and I’ll have my own parking. But idk why I’m so nervous. The house build is older but still something I can work with. But I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling this way

    I moved out today and it took me a very long time to leave my place for the last time I can’t straight to this video and started crying because you get it . I don’t think anyone gets me right now bc I have been very anxious to move now it’s like im depressed bc I had no idea I would
    Miss my old condo so much . I have to adjust and give my new place a chance as it is much beautiful and more spacious but this is very difficult for me . Any updates on how you feel in your new place ?

    • @abigail_rebecca
      @abigail_rebecca  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Aw, I'm so sorry you're having a rough time with it. I totally get it! I hope you find it comforting that, while it was hard for me for a while to adjust, after a while it definitely felt like "home" and I am so much happier here than I was in my old condo! You said your new place is beautiful so I reckon that once you acclimate to it, you'll be so much happier that you moved. It just takes a little time. It started to feel less "strange" to me after a few days, and then really started to feel like home base again after a few weeks. Now I rarely think about the old condo and when I do, it's usually with a feeling of gratitude that I live where I do now instead. :)

    I moved out of my parents home the first time the day before yesterday... I was excited for months since I love the state I was going to live in and I additionally moved to my aunt and my cousin. I live in their house and I had spent a lot of vacations there but now that I moved there I feel horrible. I am anxious and get panic attacks every evening (this also happened before I moved there. Something like one week before I moved I started panicking and crying every evening) This anxiety is super super exhausting to me and I don't have motivation anymore to do things I like... I suffered from anxiety for years in the past and I was so happy that it's not like this anymore... Even though I was so excited, all I want right now is to go back and stay where I was, even though I actually didn't like it so much. At least I didn't have anxiety anymore and I had my mom around... Since I moved I don't have a psychologist anymore either and I just feel unbelievable lonely and scared. I just want this to stop, do you believe this will stop soon? Cause I am really scared that my old anxiety returns and that I need to deal with it for another few years or even worse for ever! I really couldn't handle this kind of anxiety which ends in a panic attack for more than a few more days... It's really taking a lot of my strength and I get so exhausted from it... Is it going to get better...?

    • @abigail_rebecca
      @abigail_rebecca  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi - I just want to say that it WILL get better, and you are not alone, and I completely know how you are feeling 💕 Likely your anxiety is at an all-time high because your perceived support system and community and safe place has changed. This is totally normal for those of us sensitive to change. I felt the exact same way when I moved - excited to be out of the condo (where there were many downsides) and happy to move to my new house (where there were many upsides), but even though I knew it was the right decision in the *long term*, it was really difficult and jarring and unsettling in the *short term*. It's because you feel like your safe haven isn't there anymore, because your new home still feels a bit unfamiliar. BUT, I can tell you, you will settle in given some time, and your new situation will start to feel comfortable and familiar and it will become your new home and new safe space. It sounds like you believe that this is the right change for you in the long term, so I think given that, you will start to feel happier about it once the "newness" wears off. In the meantime, try to do things that comfort you or bring you that sense of familiarity, to calm you while you adjust. Is there a favourite blanket you could put on your bed? A super familiar TV show that you could re-watch? Could you video chat with your Mom? Could you see your psychologist virtually? Could you talk to your Aunt and Cousin about how you are feeling so they can support you? You can also decorate your new space with items that bring you joy and happiness. Sometimes that helps. Just know that you aren't alone (just look at all the other comments on my video of people feeling the same way!) and that this is temporary. Reach out any time!!

    Yes moving is very difficult when you are ill. Good for you and your husband for making it through.
    It really is hard when you have to do what you did, in reverse. Being elderly and selling you safe place home, then move to an apartment or assisted living. Downsizing and giving away memorabilia. HOWEVER you have a long way to worry about that!
    Congrats on you new home, and enjoy homeownership.
    Trintellex is a very expensive SSRI in the US, most insurance companies want you to try other known generic SSRI's for a fraction of the cost.
    Did you try other antidepressants prior to trintellex?

Not to mention the construction trash can is littlerally right next to us. i hope they make space for us to move! Im relocating from city, but if it doesn’t work out i might move back to the state I came from. It’s exhausting.

    You know ma'am, I would like to thank you for this vid. I am currently having the same thoughts prior to moving out of Avon road here in Sparta to a farm near Holmen WI,as much as I am excited to experience how farm life was with dad,but I am having the personal feelings of leaving my childhood hometown of Sparta, And trailer 15 behind😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 sorry about the digital tears.but the reason we are moving is a bug infestation problem and dad really wants to have a farm again and I agree with him but I wish that our future farm would be near Sparta so I wouldn't feel homesick and I am also, or at least was a participant of handishop.
    In case you haven't heard of it, handishop is a large corporation that also provides a day care center for the disabled like me and the day center is in Sparta and handishop HQ is the day center plus industry side of handishop built into 1 building, hence why we call it handishop HQ or headquarters is located in Tomah WI and I've already made friends there at both handishop locations.
    And someone mistaken my scratches on my arms as bug bites and I am currently not allowed to go to handishop until the bug infestation problem is fixed.
    So that's the story of my previous operating years.
