Not all for the exotics, the scammers are probably just in it for the money. The economy had inflated a lot and not all the new players know that and that’s partially what scammers use to trick the old players

This is really common. I've had friends that I have had to warn because people have had their IRL family contacted over these exotics.

As someone who was in the exotic/crystal community for a while(I'm an ex-admin of Crystal Cafe), its surprising to see some people I know being mentioned in this video. Even I get messages like how much for my superior often because I have a low level which leads people into thinking that I wouldn't know the value of the set. Really just shows how far someone would go for a few more in-game digits.

Haven't played skyblock in years but that's crazy how much depth the game has now, you'd need to play for months to understand how anything works in the economy
about 30% of comments are still talking about technos death, 20% are talking about how they got scammed and like 10% are racist towards indians lmao
the "if you even want to obviously" is also a form of indirect manipulation, as it makes the person think that they have control, but youve been asking them to do it, so they are already inclined to do it
Skyblock almost feels like the younger generation’s runescape for learning about scams and that if something is too good to be true, it probably is

Dude when I first started skyblock I got given really good gear that kickstarted me really well, and then there was the disgusting price hiking of riding pigs when Technoblade passed. Skyblock has extremely varied players.
great video. i "almost" got caught up in this myself; i apparently have dyed angler armor and so for a while i'd have people messaging me and party inviting me every time i logged on to hypixel (which tbf isn't often nowadays). i never even had to enter skyblock. i'd be trying to play an smp with some irls and id have people messaging me and party inviting me wanting to buy my armor. i knew i was never gonna sell it but i got rly lucky cuz the only time i decided to actually respond to one of them just to see wtf was up it was a nice guy like hsraa who explained everything to me and was super chill about the fact that i didnt want to sell it. haven't even gotten any msgs about it since then. glad to know i dodged a bullet haha

I had about 10 sets of exotic dragon sets from a three person coops. One day the island glitched, all the portals broke, chests empty, minions broken, everything wasn't working or was gone. Skyblock support didn't do anything about it so we lost out on billions of coins. Me and one dude quit but the other one still plays. RIP exotic
When did sky block turn into crypto scam simulator people trying to finesse the way onto the top by scamming young players for their exotic armor. Tricking them making them think that 50 million coins is worth their 2 billion coins worth armor.🤣

This happened to me unfortunately, I was aproached by a guy offereing to buy my bat person chestplate for 10 mil, a bit later I sold my chestplate for 20m, not knowing that I had 1 of the 6 chestplates on the whole server

That was 3 years ago and after coming back to skyblock recently I got rly salty. If I had a chance to undo that I would, not because I lost potential money but simply because I wouldn't have sold it at all today. Welp, too bad too sad, however I'm glad to see ppl trying to prevent this from happening to other players

The important thing to remember in skyblock is to do your research. Let them off all they want but reply “nah I’ll need to do some research first to see if it’s a fair price”
This reminded me that on my main account I bought exotic wise armor just after they became unobtainable at the time they went for 1.5 to 2x of undyed armor. I still have it on my acount, purple chest plate black pants white boots. That was actually my first ever set of dragon armor.

Most average exotic cafe moment. I found a lapis set in my chest once and asked what it was worth and nearly got sharked for like 1/5th of its value. Also, word of mouth is most exotic collectors bought stuff with irl trade deals and mask it as snipes

This is exactly what happened to me 2 years ago ☠️☠️. A full red wise armor: I sold it for 2 M and understood what I did 2 months after that. I was devasted, even a TH-camr tried to buy it but I already sold it 1 min ago from someone who went in his island after to taunt him . I barely played after this and now am ironman to not let this happen again .
