    When i was unemployed, i would go for 20 hours without even saying a word. Then I'd try to call someone and I'd sound weak, and voice sounded so different. Now at work i get to use my voice, be active with it and it sounds more alive and loud. Having a job is step one to living a good life

    Amazing video, thinking and not taking action can lead to paralysis and no progress, I feel like a free bird now that I know my foundations and can build myself, I feel like I went though apprenticeship these past years learning from a lot of people and now I cut all the self help bs out and gain my own lessons from my own experiences

    This talk is quite brilliant, on several deep levels even, tapping into contemplative/mystical prayer, as well, the prayer of quiet when one "shuts off" the ramblings of intellect/thinking and perceives God within one's interior core - the Interior Castle of St. Teresa of Avila, so to speak, and St. John of the Cross's Dark Night of the Soul. Thanks for putting the topic of "masculinity" into a construct that I am already well versed in - I Get It Now!!!

  • @alleras46

    Great video! The only problem with this is that we should not disown our feminine side. All beings have both masculine and feminine energy. Of course for men, at our core we are masculine, but we can also have feminine energy. The appreciation of art, music, being able to dance with the feminine, our soft side.
    I don't believe that re-masculisation should come at the cost of your full authentic self. I see many men who embrace masculinity that
    overcompensate and go egocentric as a defense mechanism.
    Don't fall for the temptation of hiding behind overcompensation and suppressing the softness of your being. Embody BOTH! Strong. Powerful. Own your desires and your biology. But also be soft, gentle, loving.

    • @SamMoreno970
      @SamMoreno970 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great comment. Frankly, "masculinity" and "femininity" seem to me to be concepts with poor grounding. Sure, things can be called them but there are simply qualities that make a good human. Forget if they're considered masculine or feminine, it bogs you down.

    • @ugotserved911
      @ugotserved911 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Being masculine doesn’t mean suppressing our feminine traits. It just means giving masculinity more importance. Prioritizing for effectiveness. That’s all. There’s a time and place to harness our feminine side. But todays toxic liberal culture wants mens to over correct for the sins of societies past by making asking men to make femininity a priority. That’s an over correction and hence incorrect. Weighted balance is key. Weighted. Balance. Weighted.

    • @alleras46
      @alleras46 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SamMoreno970 Yeah if it doesn't work for you then that's fine. I personally find it a really useful way to analyse male and female dynamics and figure out why we do certain things. The Way of the Superior Man is where I got these ideas from.

    • @alleras46
      @alleras46 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ugotserved911 Totally agree with you, being masculine doesn't mean you have to suppress feminine traits. That's the exact point I'm making. I see a lot of guys who overcompensate and try to be macho when it really isn't necessary. I just want to make that clear for anyone watching this vid in case they get the wrong idea.

    • @SamMoreno970
      @SamMoreno970 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alleras46 I get it, and I've read the book, I just feel that it's never a simple dichotomy. But if it helps it helps. For me it makes me too analytical about my behavior instead of just committing myself to actions and the moment.

    I don't usually feel the need to put on armor, I imagine life like hiking but getting shot with arrows in the back. The more arrows you endure the stronger you are metaphorically but as time goes on you are losing grip on the physical world. I am always weary and it can get overwhelming but I know it's a "so what" kind of thing because no one can do anything for me but myself. The thing is I am okay with the negatives, but people tend to overreact. In the past I was the same because that's how I was raised, if something went wrong it was "oh no its all over". I had to learn not to feel the pressure so I can actually do me. I have a problem with indecisiveness though, especially when choosing what to do for the rest of my life. Nothing out there seems like its worth while, I don't want a family or wife or whatever. I think that I am supposed to create and/or destroy but I don't know what. I know many people feel that they have an idea of their purpose but can't put their finger on it. For now I'm drifting in a direction I don't much care for and I just hope I don't end up unhappy because that is not enough for me. Every time I limit my creative freedom with a overworking job (80 - 90hrs) of which I usually have a 2hr commute to, I start to lose control of my temper and have a ever increasing build up of frustration that turns into a really bad almost murderous rage. Until I create something then I feel better. I believe these jobs feel useless and meaningless, I don't understand how anyone can endure a job they don't consider their calling for the rest of their lives. I might as well be dead if that's all I have.

Friends say to cut more because I am skinny fat but one of my gym trainer said to bulk up, it will look good on me. Can anyone suggest what should I do?? 71 kg, 5.8" height.

      @aaronscott5575 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Go for the bulk my friend. Start with a slight surplus (around 250-500 calories) and train hard. You’ll see the muscle growth come much quicker in a surplus, and before you know it you’ll look like a new man.

      @@aritgon9763 My go to for bulking is blueberry bagels. Each has around 300 calories and they come in packs of 6 for fairly cheap. On bulks I tend to increase my carbs as long as i’m getting sufficient protein in already. If your eating 90% to 100% of your bodyweight in protein every day don’t worry about raising protein intake as its going to fill you up more and make getting in the extra calories more difficult. Hope it goes well for you man
