      I still remember my Mon qualifier at Gwen Ellyn for Western in Chicago couple decades ago like it was yesterday. Nerves, 🤢 in throat with starter announcing name on 1st tee. There’s only one way to success and that is thru the nervous and hands tingling all round reps in the qualifiers and these mini tour events and DTFW

    Thanks for the insight. You see the pga golfers every weekend and don’t think about what it takes to get there. I had my eyes opened about Major League Baseball when I went to spring training. Five fields for a team watched the lowest level team and they were good. Wow these are the lowest players and to make it to the show they have to be better than three players on each the other fields. I’m amazed at your talent keep having fun with golf enjoy your videos.

    If I were you, I'd definitely focus on Q-school and put my expenses there. I totally understand you want to play events but if you have to choose I'd pick the Q-school and hope for the game to be in shape there!
    Another thing I would look into is doing something totally different. You have probably done what you're doing for many years and you're putting your faith into that "something magical" will happen and you suddenly get the results you know you can. This is one strategy and it might happend but I was in the same situation many years ago (I'm not american but I did focus on a career as a golfer) and the thing I regret the most about those years was that I didn't think outside the box enough. I can't really give you hints where to look, we are all different, but I have a feeling you know what that means to you, looking outside the box.
    Best of luck,

    Very good insight. And very well done! It's the colosseum at golf these days. It's an unfair field on the main tour as the big boys are staying in 5 star hotels with little of the pressure put on the rookie to stay in the field. Your enthusiasm is great. Remember all sport is a very fickle business and and fortune is always nearby. To practise and then trust the unconscious mind is probaly the secret to success. Best of luck!

      I was checking your club fitting video, you said you were a club fitter? Why do you have a problem with the putter?, if you know all the basic of fitting you could fit yourself, grab an old putter and make it to work by adjusting lof, lie Weight of the head, even some weight on the shaft to make it more stable, if you are a good at reading greens all you need is something stable to hit the line. I had the same problem with my putter, missing left and right by a bit, I change the shaft, change grip, and weight on the shaft and now I make more putts 👍

    • @andrewjensengolf
      @andrewjensengolf  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Marco Martinez I’m a great putter, that’s not the issue. I just struggled with speed and my chipping/pitching from course to course. It put a lot of pressure on the 7/8 footers. All my ‘putting woes’ were basically a couple a round, and that makes all the difference over a Summer. The putter itself is just fine. Sure I tried a new one for a new look, but it was more the frustration and confidence that it affected, not the technique

    • @andrewjensengolf
      @andrewjensengolf  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Big Win Sports if you make a mistake (ball in trees, water, missed green on short side etc...). Be smart with the next shot. Compounding mistakes is hard on the scorecard. Make one mistake, accept it, then recover. Turning a 7 to a 6 or a 6 to a 5, a few times a round, does wonders for the score and the attitude/confidence. Best of luck!

    Positive attitude goes a long way, but it doesn't pay the rent. Maybe you could make a living as a driving range pro - like Peter Finch & Rick Shiels. They make a living teaching & their blogs are watched. They might be a good role model for you. That said, keep trying until the end of the 2020 season. If you aren't on the PGA by then, it time for a reality check. It's delusional to have an "attitude" that's not based on reality.
