Fighting is actually my favorite genre. Fatal Fury COTW, Virtua Fighter, Street Fighter, KOF, Samurai Shodown, and even talks of a new AOF. I immerse myself in fighting games deeply. I also agree that SF6 is on top still. Never was a huge fan of MK or Tekken. One problem that needs to be rectified most decisively is some of the online play issues.
@ my bad, I love the soul calibur series with the exception of 5. I also realized I left out DOA series as well. Honestly the list goes on brother, and I’ll be here all day giving all the FG series I like their praise.
Soul Calibur II mentioned 😍... ahhh lol, but I am happy someone is looking at the positive regarding fighting games. My brain is wired to critique products I consume, and these recent years have been tough, but SF6 is the game with the least issues from the Big 3, so there must be a level of understanding surrounding community outrage.
VF6 definitely looks like it's going in the right direction. However the main issue remains that there's really no competitive scene for these games in most places around the world. If you want to play these games your only option is going to be playing them alone in your room. Which not only is not very exciting if you're past the age of 15, but also this hasn't been the formative process for most of the best competitive players. So even if the games are good, unless you have access to local tournaments your experience will be lackluster and most likely you will only go so far in your progress as a player.
Bro not everything is a dead game just because it doesn't have 1000's of players online at any moment. The game's not even out yet and you're acting like the player base is dead. That's crazy. Just play what you want and even if the player base isn't as high as Tekken, there will still be a community around it. People are still playing VF4 on Fightcade and that's 20 years old.
@@avalon-x4n it doesn't matter that it's not out yet, this applies to all fighting games. I don't care what happens online. Fightcade is cool but online play is just irrelevant at this point, it's a dead end as I explained. If you don't have the opportunity to go out and play irl then the game is dead. Third Strike and Melty Blood are dead and so is Tekken 8, which was dead on launch. The lack of in-person tournaments is also one reason why newer games are not as solid when it comes to balancing and skill expression.
@@avalon-x4n Regulations in europe make it very difficult for businesses to organize gaming events, and these japanese corporations are fine with it. They would rather have you sit in front of your computer doing microtransactions than going outside to play the actual game with real people.
For what its worth, i have been playing since around mvc2 launch, played sf, kof, tekken, vf,doa, mk and ki in that time and i think the industry is in the healthiest place its been for years, i like sf6, tekken 8 and mk1, got some problems with monetisation practices but we let pandora out of her box years ago with that, hype for FF:CotW and VF6, hope we get Gai Tendo for FF and Axel Stone for vF!
@@kali-qgames1301 and I’d be happy bro I want that game to come back, under a bigger budget, and produced right and not get influenced by the DEI oligarchs
I've always loved me some fighting games. Street fighter two from the Sega Genesis when i was a kid then bloody roar on PlayStation and so soul Calibur. Now for me i only really play Tekken for fighting games. If soul Calibur or bloody roar would come back then i would buy those.
If a Marvel versus Capcom game comes out I just have one desire: give me some Breath of Fire representation! Blu/Deis I'd love to get Ryu, Fou Lu, Nina, Rei, Teepo or Katt.
Instant gratification is the problem. They want want want ,and don't even have fun at all. Now it's frame rate, cheaters, and everyone wants to be the god of online. DLC will never go back to what it was. It's a cash cow. People complain while purchasing still. I would love Dead Or Alive to make a comeback ! I am looking fwd to trying Coreupt when it comes to the PS5
MK1 is dead, SF 6 is almost there. Tekken 8 is still decent and FF ha the chance to be on top. KOF XV is still fun. I am a bigger SNK fan than Street Fighter but I hope they all do their best in 2025 but MK1 is dead. Needs to go away for about 5 years.
Disagree fighting games for me in 2025 looks bad one game looks forward in 2025 mafia old country that's it I wish fighting games were in good spot for me your the best KailQ

Thanks Kali! Its a new year and lets see what it brings. Definitely staying positive too. You never know what will get announced

Once upon a time, there was a Fighting Game that never existed before called Dragon Ball FighterZ...

@jenkins464 "Tekken 8 is dead" 🥴
Ok well if you need IRL tournaments for a game to be alive then go out and start some IRL communities

Looking forward to this year of fighting games. It’s like every year since 2023, they been going crazy with fighting games. W video brother 💜

That would be sick!!

I could forgive the practice of DLC, if it wasn't so expensive.
Agreed
