    You rode in my neck of the woods! Awesome to see you 'almost' conquer the skinnies on Xtreem Trail. Always a challenge getting through there after some rain. The mud holes don't make for an easy ride there or on Turkey Shoot. Going the *right* way on Rough Trade, it's actually a great trail. Finally checked out Twin Ponds yesterday after watching your vid. I am really been missing out on some great trails. Will be heading back there very soon to check out more of the trails. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Awesome video just watch it now, where the best parking spot at Kelso?

      @@marsan8745 I prefer the summit lot off Steeles Ave. It’s at the top so you can ride all trails there and decide whether or not to go down to the bottom. If you park at the bottom lot, you’ll definitely have to climb up!!!

      Thank you so much. Keep making videos your teaching us and lots of information about the trail how to ride it.

    So what happens once you have conquered your goal of 50 mtb parks? Where are you at with that, now? From where you have ridden so far, any favs that you want to start out with for the 2022 season?

      My goal was 50 different locations for 2021 - that has led me to some new places that I really enjoyed and look forward to going back in 2022. SCMB Slessor near Orillia was probably my favourite new place - but Bracebridge Resource Management Centre, Brant Tract, West Rocks (Owen Sound) and Jefferson Forest were all locations that were new to me this year and I would go back to - all very different trails but I like the variety and challenge of riding new trails!

      That is great. I have come in to mtbing very 'late in the day', so, videos like yours help me discover some of the interesting spots in Ontario. Looking forward to your winter location vids when the time comes.

    Yes, HAFTA means business but it can be fun in shorter rides.

      Definitely - I enjoy HAFTA quite a bit (have a few videos there both summer and winter). It is my favourite place to fat bike in the winter!

    Are there any bunny hills for noobs?

    • @sluggomtb7414

      If you park at the top (summit parking) there are definitely some beginner green rated trails that can still be fun - but any of the trails going down the ski hill are intermediate or advanced so a new rider might be overwhelmed. I would suggest following the green rated trails and throw in a couple of blue rated trails to help with progression!

    Can I do this trail with an xc bike?

    • @sluggomtb7414
      @sluggomtb7414  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are definitely trails at Kelso where an XC bike would be perfectly fine - but some of the more rocky technical trails (those rated black diamond or higher) you might want to avoid (or be careful!)

      @@sluggomtb7414 thanks for the reply. I recently got a salsa timberjack but I don't know if I should've gotten an XC bike instead ( Marin team 1) since most of the trails in southern Ontario are flat.

      @sluggomtb7414  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alwinlee5864 Unless you are planning on racing XC I think you made the right choice with the Salsa - I took a quick look at the geometry for both and even with southern Ontario's flat terrain I prefer the Salsa geo to that particular Marin. The Timberjack can definitely handle much of Kelso (just be careful on any black diamond rated trails!).
