My college roommate was from Cleveland & interned at WMMS in the late 70's. He had all the "Buzzard" merchandise which was a mystery to us Boston kids. He also blasted the dorm floor with heady doses of Ian Hunter, Mott, Nils Lofgren, Todd Rundgren, and so many others.

I remember the Buzzard Rocks the Rivers and Shakes the Lakes in the early 80's Jeff and flash and the morning zoo was the shit back in the day fun to listen to fast forward to 2017 and its Drake in the morning in Memphis lots of fun do miss Cleveland though
The guy you hear at the end, Lush also worked at WMMR most of his career doing great production work between 1980 all the up until his retirement in 2016
Boz scaggs what can I say my all-time favorite tune by bozstinks like this that made this radio station so goddamn special every now and then we could TuneIn and pick them up in the city of Toledo down in the Maumee valley where I however it was usually FM 104 wiot with the likes of pat stillhowever always enjoyed some of that music coming in over the lake the buzzard

Before it turned commercial....used to have kind of an underground feeling..felt special being part of it...
I forget the name of the DJ in the afternnoons, but he loved to play Roxy Music. I probably would have never heard them otherwise. Good times.
