Nath said recently that Dan was never supposed to be on camera and the few things at the start that he was asked to do on camera, he was really good at, so they asked him to do more. I think they’ve stopped asking him to do stuff on camera for the moment, for whatever reason. I think Dan’s a more behind the scene kinda guy :)
I think their problem was that the more options the player has for making the story play out differently, well that means the amount of dev work to finish the story grows geometrically.
I’d just like to say, you guys have help me so much in the past few months while I’ve been struggling with anxiety and mental health issues. You all may not think Access would help someone in that way but it really has helped me. Equally as good is the Skyrim let’s play, starring Nathan the Christmas elf! If you’ve watched these, obviously ignore this but I wouldn’t want you to miss out on them beauties if you haven’t!

Another series that leaves questions unanswered is Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus... fingers crossed Insomniac explores the possibilities brought up by that ending in a sequel... :D

Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerberus was not a great game, mechanically, but it opened a lot of plot-points that I really wanted to see resolved in sequels... specially the presence of Genesis, who was very interesting in the AMAZING Crisis Core game. I hope they would do a sequel of some sort. That world has so much juice in it.
What are Sanzaru Games doing? They did great with the Sly collection and Sly 4 and they have been silent since then! They could have announced something at that awful State of Play event.
I don't know if it's because it was one of my favorite games, or because I can see her in the background of your video, but I want more closure on The Last of Us. Even before The Last of Us 2 was announced, I knew from the ending that there would have to be repercussions for Joel's actions at the end of the game. I even considered what the sequel would be like from the perspective of Ellie. I'm so excited to play this sequel when it's available!
Sly 4 was actually my first in the series, solely because it was on Vita and (at the time) the first 3 games weren't. It made me fall in love with the series, so I bought the Trilogy when it came to Vita. Got through the first game, started the second, and stopped about halfway through. Picked it back up recently and am almost done with 2, then moving on to 3 and may replay 4. I didn't know about the secret ending, but I'm kind of glad I do know now. It's not like the stories of these games are super deep, anyway.
I need closure on the Gravity Rush series. There are SOOOOOO many unanswered questions at the end of 2, despite the fact that they actually wrap up a lot of the story threads from the first game. And GODDAMN IT, HOW DOES THE WORLD WORK IN THOSE GAMES??? I've literally just had to stop writing this while I spent 10 minutes pondering how the bloody World Pillar works. What is it? Where does it come from? Why does time work differently depending on how high up the pillar you are? What is it attached to? Is it even attached to anything? Is it just a stick floating through space? I f so, how does it support an atmosphere?? I could spend hours trying to get my head round how the world functions in that game. Of course, they explain absolutely nothing about it...
Resistance super series. Love Shenmue. Need more closure on White Day Labrinth. A Korean folklore horror game. Many unanswered questions, even though there are multiple endings. Still not satisfied. Love you all.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
The really annoying thing about Shenmue and not knowing the story was stretching across several games was that there was a fourth disc in the box. Riu ends disc 3 on the ship to Hong Kong, chuck the fourth disc in...I can’t remember what it was but it wasn’t a game disc. It really ramped up the cruelty.
In the years I've been watching this channel, this is the first time I've seen them acknowledge a console that wasn't PS1 through PS4. Total double take.
LEGACY OF KAIN: DEFIANCE. It left us with the knowlage that Raziel was always destined to be Kain's weapon because Kain is, in fact, The Scion of Time and still has much to do to restore Nosgoth. I know the guy that played The Wheel of Fate's voice died but thats no excuse. Now that Square owns Eidos and therefore Crystal Dynamics, its high time we got a sequel to Defiance (not a reboot, a SEQUEL) and get the closer we've needed for like 15 years.
@Lyrissa Nattbrand well, that just 100% not true. How can someone with a Tonberry as their profile pic say such a thing? The last 3 Tomb Raiders(which is the only Eidos license they've done ANYTHING with) were all great. I think Square is the PERFECT company to spearhead this project.
@Lyrissa Nattbrand actually XIII is hailed a a HORRIBLE gamr by most and it's simply not. And every REAL JRPG fan had been YURNING for at least 20 years for exactly the game that Dragon Quest XI is. FF XV was released unfinished, which there is no excuse for but now at least it is a pretty good outing. Square HAS started to slip as a publisher but as a developer, they're still one of the best around. Especially (and I know its not saying much) in the AAA scene.
@Lyrissa Nattbrand DQ11 didn't have anything flashy or do anything new but that was just the point, it didn't need any of that. And you wanna talk about too much focus on visuals just for the game play to be cookie cutter mediocre, something needs to be said about Naughty Dog. Square has always pushed the enveloped with visuals.

The game series I would really like closure on is Legacy of Kain Series. You have Blood Omen, Blood Omen 2, Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, and then Legacy of Kain: Defiance,(that's the order of the games chronology, not real world publication). I play beach one of these games and loved every minute of it, spoilers ahead, only to find out that basically you play the entire game in one big circle and the ending of the last game starts with your character watching the end of the first game take place, creating some kind of time paradox that has never been resolved. We need resolution!
The Witcher 3 had me bad.. But then I saw one of the game's trailers (the vampire bruxa one) and realized that it was showing an event after the game's end. That did it for me. Sweet closure.
SOUL REAVER!! The best games of PSX and PS2 (with Tenchu, MGS etc.). It's grotesque. Legacy of Kain's lore is amazing and both Raziel and Kain are awesome characters. Those games are wonderful and we NEED CLOSURE. PS: btw Soul Reaver also needs a remake/reboot.
Sonic Forces: What happened to Infinite? Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood for Nintendo DS: What was going to happen in the sequel that was cancelled because of Penders's lawsuit?
Two that spring to mind are Dino Crisis 2 and Trine 3. The latter is widely accepted as an unfinished mess, but the former left me convinced that there must be an alternate "good" ending where a better outcome was possible. The ending for DC2 was left a bit up in the air, as if there should have been an epilogue to give the game proper closure.
Sorry to correct you in one thing. Shenmue 3 won't wrap up the saga. But with a bit of luck we get shenmue 4,which could become the grand finale of the story. In the end, the small budget means they don't need to sell that many copies to call it a success 😉 if they ask to back shenmue 4 with crowd funding again, I won't hesitate. Almost 20 years waiting for the story to continue,... I'll do what I can do to get the end of the story this time. I mean it's not only the story, you also get fond of the characters and the music 😁
Ratchet & Clank Into The Nexus had a cliffhanger too, however it wasn't a massive one like Sly 4's was. And just like Sly 4, 6-years later and still unresolved.
For me the game series I need closure in is Jak and Daxter. First it was Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, then the PSP Daxter game, then Jak 2, Jak 3, Jak combat racing then Jak the lost frontier which left off on a cliffhanger.
So I played and finished The Last of Us for the very first time last week. I know I am way late to playing it and I really do regret waiting (I honestly just couldn't afford a PS4 all that time). I had also always heard it was good, but good doesn't even begin to describe just how "good" the game is. The Last of Us, simply put, BROKE ME. I was expecting a good story and all, but it's so much more. The imperfections that all the characters have make them more relatable than almost every character that I have played in any other game. It hit me harder emotionally than any other game has. All this to say that I wish I could have more closure for The Last of Us. I can't wait for The Last of Us Part 2!!

I don't know if it's because it was one of my favorite games, or because I can see her in the background of your video, but I want more closure on The Last of Us. Even before The Last of Us 2 was announced, I knew from the ending that there would have to be repercussions for Joel's actions at the end of the game. I even considered what the sequel would be like from the perspective of Ellie. I'm so excited to play this sequel when it's available!

Sly 4 was actually my first in the series, solely because it was on Vita and (at the time) the first 3 games weren't. It made me fall in love with the series, so I bought the Trilogy when it came to Vita. Got through the first game, started the second, and stopped about halfway through. Picked it back up recently and am almost done with 2, then moving on to 3 and may replay 4.
I didn't know about the secret ending, but I'm kind of glad I do know now. It's not like the stories of these games are super deep, anyway.
Legacy of Kain, you cant just leave it with Raziel having sacrificed himself to the reaver and Kain seeing their Elder God. Oh wait, you did.....
I need closure on the Gravity Rush series. There are SOOOOOO many unanswered questions at the end of 2, despite the fact that they actually wrap up a lot of the story threads from the first game.
And GODDAMN IT, HOW DOES THE WORLD WORK IN THOSE GAMES???
I've literally just had to stop writing this while I spent 10 minutes pondering how the bloody World Pillar works. What is it? Where does it come from? Why does time work differently depending on how high up the pillar you are? What is it attached to? Is it even attached to anything? Is it just a stick floating through space? I f so, how does it support an atmosphere??
I could spend hours trying to get my head round how the world functions in that game. Of course, they explain absolutely nothing about it...
Jak&daxter 3. Not only because I never played the PSP game but it was made by a different studio, that I heard didn't do it justice.

Resistance super series. Love Shenmue. Need more closure on White Day Labrinth. A Korean folklore horror game. Many unanswered questions, even though there are multiple endings. Still not satisfied. Love you all.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Autumn Allsoppe the ending for andromeda just screamed sequel to me, or a dlc, so I want closure to both 3 and andromeda.

The really annoying thing about Shenmue and not knowing the story was stretching across several games was that there was a fourth disc in the box. Riu ends disc 3 on the ship to Hong Kong, chuck the fourth disc in...I can’t remember what it was but it wasn’t a game disc. It really ramped up the cruelty.

In the years I've been watching this channel, this is the first time I've seen them acknowledge a console that wasn't PS1 through PS4. Total double take.
I think that's only because it's a defunct console brand. I doubt we'll ever hear about the N64.

LEGACY OF KAIN: DEFIANCE. It left us with the knowlage that Raziel was always destined to be Kain's weapon because Kain is, in fact, The Scion of Time and still has much to do to restore Nosgoth. I know the guy that played The Wheel of Fate's voice died but thats no excuse. Now that Square owns Eidos and therefore Crystal Dynamics, its high time we got a sequel to Defiance (not a reboot, a SEQUEL) and get the closer we've needed for like 15 years.
@Lyrissa Nattbrand well, that just 100% not true. How can someone with a Tonberry as their profile pic say such a thing? The last 3 Tomb Raiders(which is the only Eidos license they've done ANYTHING with) were all great. I think Square is the PERFECT company to spearhead this project.

@Lyrissa Nattbrand actually XIII is hailed a a HORRIBLE gamr by most and it's simply not. And every REAL JRPG fan had been YURNING for at least 20 years for exactly the game that Dragon Quest XI is. FF XV was released unfinished, which there is no excuse for but now at least it is a pretty good outing. Square HAS started to slip as a publisher but as a developer, they're still one of the best around. Especially (and I know its not saying much) in the AAA scene.
@Lyrissa Nattbrand DQ11 didn't have anything flashy or do anything new but that was just the point, it didn't need any of that. And you wanna talk about too much focus on visuals just for the game play to be cookie cutter mediocre, something needs to be said about Naughty Dog. Square has always pushed the enveloped with visuals.
@Lyrissa Nattbrand I thought it was cool. And we basically got a built in DLC. Some of the charaters are bland but some are really cool Veronica and Jade are really good characters.

C’mon guys- you missed the lowest of the low hanging fruit! The Last of Us- that ending! Now I’ll grant you, that when the sequel gets released, that we should get our answers, but I mean! Did Ellie believe Joel at the end (doubtful), and if not/so, how did that effect their relationship over the intervening years?
I like a bit of doubt or mystery at the end of a story sometimes. I loved that ending so much I *almost* didn't want a sequel.

The game series I would really like closure on is Legacy of Kain Series. You have Blood Omen, Blood Omen 2, Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, and then Legacy of Kain: Defiance,(that's the order of the games chronology, not real world publication). I play beach one of these games and loved every minute of it, spoilers ahead, only to find out that basically you play the entire game in one big circle and the ending of the last game starts with your character watching the end of the first game take place, creating some kind of time paradox that has never been resolved. We need resolution!
The Witcher 3 had me bad.. But then I saw one of the game's trailers (the vampire bruxa one) and realized that it was showing an event after the game's end. That did it for me. Sweet closure.

It's grotesque. Legacy of Kain's lore is amazing and both Raziel and Kain are awesome characters. Those games are wonderful and we NEED CLOSURE.

Two that spring to mind are Dino Crisis 2 and Trine 3. The latter is widely accepted as an unfinished mess, but the former left me convinced that there must be an alternate "good" ending where a better outcome was possible. The ending for DC2 was left a bit up in the air, as if there should have been an epilogue to give the game proper closure.
Obviously the ending of sly cooper just leads right into assassins creed origins.
Sorry to correct you in one thing. Shenmue 3 won't wrap up the saga. But with a bit of luck we get shenmue 4,which could become the grand finale of the story. In the end, the small budget means they don't need to sell that many copies to call it a success 😉 if they ask to back shenmue 4 with crowd funding again, I won't hesitate. Almost 20 years waiting for the story to continue,... I'll do what I can do to get the end of the story this time. I mean it's not only the story, you also get fond of the characters and the music 😁
Ratchet & Clank Into The Nexus had a cliffhanger too, however it wasn't a massive one like Sly 4's was. And just like Sly 4, 6-years later and still unresolved.
There's a ton of very old games that would end something like "Well thanks. Bye".

For me the game series I need closure in is Jak and Daxter.
First it was Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, then the PSP Daxter game, then Jak 2, Jak 3, Jak combat racing then Jak the lost frontier which left off on a cliffhanger.
sly was a good choice but also freedom fighters, I really hope it eventually gets a remaster or sequel
So I played and finished The Last of Us for the very first time last week. I know I am way late to playing it and I really do regret waiting (I honestly just couldn't afford a PS4 all that time). I had also always heard it was good, but good doesn't even begin to describe just how "good" the game is. The Last of Us, simply put, BROKE ME. I was expecting a good story and all, but it's so much more. The imperfections that all the characters have make them more relatable than almost every character that I have played in any other game. It hit me harder emotionally than any other game has. All this to say that I wish I could have more closure for The Last of Us. I can't wait for The Last of Us Part 2!!
Just so you know Dave, shenmue 3 will not finish the story because it would rush and downsize the story too much (the creator has said as much).
