Thank you for your videos. Andy taught me how to fly cast 2012 and back then I spent a lot of time in your shop. I’m getting back into fly fishing and though I live far away now, I’m so happy I can still get advice from you! Great videos!
Except for the colored grips, these side cutting pliers look just like the old Sargent pliers made for many years. I have both sizes of the original Sargent pliers, one was my dad’s and the other belonged to grandfather - they kept them in tackle boxes always ready.
I am from Romania and i like this youtube channel very much. More fly tying material please, maybe invite top fly tiers to tie flies for you and for us. Cheers
Sort of but they require a good bit of care to truly last years . If your wading or surf casting they will need even more , but there are guys that use them .

@@Featherfuss Thanks for watching and thanks for the support.
Been using the same Manley pliers (today) my Grandfather gave to me (as a child), back in the early 60s. The best for sure.
@@edwardlopez461 Thanks for being here and backing us up. Cherish those pliers!

I never fish without Manley pliers on my belt.
We don't either! Thanks for watching.
Are the yellow handled models the same as the red handle pliers?
Red Handle are 6.5" and spring loaded.
Will the side cutters cut a heavy saltwater hook?
As he shows here....within reason. Yes.
Do they make a needle nose?
@@charlesmurray1220 They do not, but we have other options on the website!
Are these saltwater capable?

@@zman8340flip has done a fair amount of saltwater fishing
Yes, Brian and Flip both fish extensively in the salt.....with Manley Pliers!
Not applicable for pike and musky. Wish they made a long jaw version. Those ones are just too stubby for me.
We actually use the larger ones on Pike and Musky all the time. They work extremely well.
Bernards parallel pliers.....
The originals if not mistaken!
@@Madriveroutfitters yes they held the patent very strong jaws...lol glad to see you knew!
I wish they didn’t rust so damn bad
@@N2theBlue1 We sell the Teflon coated version. They don't rust!
So does it take a manly man to use Manly pliers? Inquiring minds want to know.
@@johnnylightning1491 Easy to use. Most anyone can operate well.
