Just wanted to preface with this- I still consider myself to be a beginner/new to roller skating as well! Everyone has a personal preference on the type of skate they like, whether it’s a stiffer or more flexible skate. These opinions are all my own, as my opinion is from a beginner's perspective. I hope this review was helpful to anyone interested in getting a pair of skates! ♡
Hi, hoping you can help me with sizing. Did you pick a size according to your foot measurement? And did you buy an exact fit to your measurement or did you add some room?
I'm so excited that there are more budget friendly vegan skates coming out. I only want to use vegan materials but it feels like the skates made with it are either really cheap or really expensive. These are super cute too!
I believe Rookie have a few vegan skates and they're a pretty good brand. I have a pair of Rookie Rosa's and they're a brilliant first skate, cute looking and vegan. 😋
Thanks Linda for existing!!! It’s awesome of RollerSkateNation to make you an ambassador as a new skater. I started last year and have found that seeing your account has been very encouraging and empowering.
I wish these had been on the market when I first started skating. As a vegan skater it's been a challenge to find skates that don't compromise my own values. I paid the same for Candi Girl skates and they're basically trash. Thanks for doing this review!
So in a time when skates are so hard to find, these have come out in perfect timing for me! So excited I pre ordered and used your code! So so excited for my first pair of skates!
Hi Linda, I just preordered these skates in coral with your coupon code. I have wide feet and it’s been hard for me to find that perfect match that isn’t that pricy. I was originally waiting for the sure grip boardwalk to be restocked but after seeing your video, I have settled on these. Looking forward to receiving my first pair of skates 🛼
I just bought these in the coral color this week. They are a gift to my cousin whose bday is this weekend. She is a beginner, so I will let you know how she likes it. I did also get her insoles bc I needed insoles for my own skates as well and they made a great improvement. VNLA instructs that skates should be ordered in your true size. I know for other brands most are unisex so u have to size down but in these Do Not size down. For me, this VNLA boot is rather stiff, more like a rollerblade boot. The wheels rolled nicely and the trucks seem very sturdy and snug. Nice stopper as well. These Parfait skates are super CUTE and I am sure it is a wonderful beginner skate.
I purchased my first pair of skates a few weeks ago (at age 45) thanks to the inspiration I received from all your videos! Mahalo! Appreciate you sharing your story and keeping it real!! I’m vegan and purchased the Moxi Beach Bunny but am having such a hard time breaking them in... I’m wondering how these compare? Would you choose these over the BB for dance skating if you could only wear synthetic materials or do you feel like these are only really great for trail? I’m looking for the comfort and functionality of a suede boot that is vegan friendly. 🛼💗
I personally don’t own the moxi beach bunnies so I can’t compare the two 😭 the material of this skate is definitely closer to suede than those though from what I am aware of!
Super useful video, thank you so much! So far I had a chaya because we only started skating this winter with my 6-year-old little girl and all we used so far was the kitchen... we had snow until now... but we are ready to take over the village 🤣 we want to go outside but need outside skates and my feet are wide so this has been super helpful, thank you 💗 lots of love to you from us from Latvia 🇱🇻

Liked and subscribed. And I got the teal. 💙 It took me three days to pick the color I wanted! Edited to add that I got my skates last night. I'm 7 1/2 and I got the size 7. They fit well. I have average sized feet and they're snug around the toes, but they're roomy at the heel. Super happy with them so far. 😁
Maybe it's just me but the part where the cushions are looks so close to the ground (compared to my Chayas). Do you think that it might be a problem while jam or park skating? 🤔
Great observation I didn't even notice that!! I actually haven't tested out smaller wheels than the current stock ones that are 58mm, but it looks like it might be a tight fit if you're trying to use wheels smaller than that, but I didn't have any problems with jam skating on the wheels that came with the skates. Thank you for mentioning this!!
I require a wider skate, so when I am able to purchase another pair, I will definitely consider these. I have a pair of moonlight roller skates and I love them...
Hi, thank you for sharing this. I really wish I could see you actually skating in these. I would love to see how responsive they are when turning etc. Can you easily lean into a turn/ use your edges to turn? Or do you find you have to pick up your feet to turn?
I don't have the personal experience with park skating or grind blocks, so I would definitely recommend contacting Rollerskatenation either on Instagram or through their email to get a definite answer before purchasing :)
What comes inside the box? I pre-ordered mine (before I saw your discount code, so I’m pretty bummed about that) and I’m just curious about what’s included in the box with the skates.

Is a _few weeks_ enough time to review a roller skate? - You claim that it is going to stay firm (4:15); If you have only used them for a few weeks (at best) how do you know that? What's the _firmness rating_ of the boot? - How hard do you skate? Are you a casual skater or do you dance? Have you changed the wheels and tried to dance in them to judge them for those qualities? - You claim that the boot will make it more difficult to do some jam skating movements in (4:23); which movements in particular? I don't see videos of you jam skating. Same with the park skating assumption. - Did you record your performance on the review units to compare with a similarly built boot?
These are all great questions, thank you for taking the time to consider all this and asking! - I did want to break these skates in more before I gave a review, but I did have a deadline that I was given to complete this review. - I am a casual skater, and I also am learning jam skating as I continue my roller skating journey but would not say that I am anywhere close to being advanced or professional! - This is a great point, it would have definitely helped if I included videos of myself using these skates! I have not changed the wheels, and there are some clips of me on my Instagram using these skates! Moves specifically would range from the walk (dribbles), crazy legs, movements that require more ankle movement - Again, I do have video clips of me doing similar moves on both my normal go-to skates and these skates, but they are not side by side. Again, thank you for asking these questions!
