Windows 11: How To Completely Uninstall and Remove Microsoft Edge
Command Used:
.\setup.exe -uninstall -system-level -verbose-logging -force-uninstall
Microsoft says its new Edge web browser cannot be uninstalled but that is simply not true. The right PowerShell command entered in the right folder can accomplish the task.
If you don't like Microsoft Edge, you can uninstall it from Windows 11, but the process will depend on how you obtained the browser - Here's how to complete the task.

@@dunnetahl I seem to follow a lot of their C prompt commands it didn't work for me either. The only thing I can say is turn off the edge in the task manager. Make sure it stays off from time to time.

This seems to have changed as the command in PowerShell did nothing but...
Since the only thing in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft" folder was edge i...
Killed all "Edge" related task processes in the task manager.
Changed ownership to under Advance security settings to my unique user login.
and then i just deleted the file and emptied the recycle when edge refused to open as intended.
I even tested Updater to see if it was gonna reset it and it did not.

I had the edge shortcut on my desktop too and after uninstalling I clicked on the shortcut and it still opened. lol This did not remove edge from the computer.

This tutorial was about the fourth video I watched on how to uninstall Edge. The other ones had similar information but the "copy and paste" function would not work (weird right?) in the cmd prompt. But this video was by far the easiest, most straightforward, mind numbingly best video of any install/uninstall video I have ever seen. Crisp, to the point, easy to follow and understand. Did not work for me, copied into the Terminal and hit the "Yes" and the same line came back and ME was still in the start bar. Went into the same PC folder and just deleted all the files. NOW it's gone, at least for me that's what I had to do.

Thank you so much because for some reason Ege keeps opening my tabs to my social media and stuff then when I close it all the browser boots back up I tried restarting my PC but it did it again and I checked my antivirus apps and they said nothing so I was scared so that's how I came here to delete it I never had that happen before I probably could have a fix that easy but I dint not trust that anyways.
