- New aircraft goes for the BIG DIVE on it's first flight. Very possible cause, a faulty Spektrum AR631 3 aircraft damaged with this particular receiver. I think I have learned my lesson in replacing it. All is not lost as the repaired EYAS takes to the sky over the coast.
one of the members at our club had the aeroscout with a ar630 and crash just as your did I rebuilt it for him and gave it back to him and it happen again so he gave it to me I rebuilt it again and pulled the receiver out and installed a lemon with there as3x version no safe just stabilization on and off flew great and I still have it and it rips the sky nice and the original owner did not want it anymore he got bum out over it bit I told him any time he wants it back its ready for him and I would leave the lemon receiver in it for him good review glad you have yours flying again to there fun little planes 😊😊😊
Thanks Frank. Yes it is a great little model & i do have a spare lemon stabiliser so will try it out on this aircraft.
👍
Looks like the repairs worked well Noel! Shame about the defective RX. It happens sometimes. Curious if you do a range check before you fly? Often that will show you something on the flight log page of telemetry. Also, when a plane goes down once, sometimes that can damage a RX internally if it is a really hard impact.
So glad you are the brains of this outfit Adam. Never considered that. You are right the if the signal stops, the aircraft all seem to take a nose dive. It happened to my C150 Z a long time ago.
I will re examine this.

Oh No And Do You Thai Cave Rescue 2018?
Very strange. Never had issues with SAFE receivers if properly set up and secured in the airplane. Of course it's always good to check if it's correcting the proper direction.
Maybe yours is indeed defective, hope they replace it for you, as they are not cheap. I like having safe, it saved my planes so many times.
Glad you got it fixed, it's a great airplane and can't wait to add one to my hangar. Not sure when.
Yes, all my set ups were exactly the same procedure for each 631 but this one was trouble.
@Bellairvideo I understand, never a good thing crashing a model on the first flight.
Thankfully I do not make a habit of it Alex. Great price for around 100 euro’s delivered
isn't the esky eyas basicaly the 3 bladed prop verson and PNP verson of the hobbyzone aeroscout?
Yes it is!
which one came out first? The aeroscout? or the eyas?
The Eyas
