This song was so brilliantly created you can literally insert “Keep On Running” in any part and it will fit perfectly! And they do such a great job building the song up with so many different feelings and sounds just to put your mind back to where that one distinctive piece that grabbed your attention from the intro and in this case “Keep On Running”whew!
Currently writing a short story of unrequited love set in the 80's, inspired by this song. Thank you to The Midnight, you're my favorite synthwave artist ever
Stop fucking saying words like "underappreciated" and "underrated" when you don't know what they mean. It's like this stupid ass generation overusing the word "literally". Just stop.
Ok. So I'm a hardcore metal head. I went to a metal core show last week and in between bands they played this kind of music. I was like what is this? So I Google searched it. I absolutely love this.. ❤❤

as a jason i strongly approve this song, i am feeling it deep in my soul that i was meant to find this beautiful sound. Brings tears to my eyes Thank you
I really messed up. I found The Midnight and was too dumb to realize I should've made a reaction video to it being an 80's kid. Those are the reactions I want to see to this music. People who grew up in the 80's hearing this sound again for the first time in 30 years with new fresh composition. It's my favorite music on the planet right now. FYI, they absolutely NAIL the feeling of the late 80's/early 90's sound.
You should still make a video about it. Explain how you felt at first upon hearing this, what you thought of it and talk about retrowave as a genre, compare it with 80s music etc. It'll make a great video essay. This genre of music really deserves more attention and love.
I was born in 1986, but I remember a lot of 80's stuff that carried into the early 90's, and the music was definitely one of them. Something about The Midnight in particular makes me remember the excitement and vibes I felt being a kid and going to the mall or the movies, it's hard to explain where exactly I heard similar sounds, but I know I did and songs like this bring back a lot of memories I forgot I had.
Dude. What a great song. I love the vocal tracks. Those subtle Harmonies in the the Chorus. The perfect amount of reverb and delay. Nikki, did a great job too, it fits so well with the track. You really captured that 80's feel. Don't stop making music.
Thank you Reckful for your service. I hope the darkness that burdened you in this life doesn't transpire into your next. Warm thoughts and feelings towards those who also bear a similar darkness. Every soul emits even the smallest amount of light, reach out.
This song is just amazing ! This and days of thunder and also Robert Parker’s sweet nothings, we always have this playing over the Speaker system at work ❤️
The music is good, but it's the saxophone player that takes it to the next level. This goes for pretty much all of their tracks with a sax in it. The sax player on Endless Summer and Nocturnal is called Thomas Edinger. I don't know much about sax playing but in my book this guy is a SAX GOD. :)

This is synthwave elevated to art, well....to actual music. Musicianship, mixing, production, vibe, voices, very tasteful. And most of all...DOESN'T GET OLD. Well done, this is such a great band. I hope people recognize how much better this is than normal synthwave and WHY.

I'd watch a parody movie with jason and freddy krüger along the lines of dirty dancing, with this music. I think that'd be the best thing to happen to the parody genre.
@Miller Heileife Ohohoh! There must be a frollicking scene, where they are jumping around all happy, chopping off bodyparts left and right in slow-motion like in 300, while happy music plays. That would complete the experience. Maybe as a conclusion to the journey, or a flashback to better times! Damn. Now I want to be a film director. Filming something like that would probably be a blast!
DUDE YES! And maybe a parte where Jason teaches Freddy just like Mr Miagy in Karate Kid where he makes him to the waxing, "Circles, Freddy San. Circles"
i forgot to leave a comment when i found this back in 2020 when i was 16. Remembering me and my younger and older cousin used to listen this together every night sitting on the terrace while quarantine, video calling our friends from long distance, chilling. its been 2 years the older cousin went to another country for a new job he got. Where do you go in a town full of ghosts
And everybody knows your name
And all the homecoming queens in the
Small town scenes they'll offer you a place to stay
Some want forever instead of whenever
When they're naked in the light
It's a strange little potion but sometimes
The motion almost makes you feel alive
[Chorus: Nikki Flores]
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh
Oooh Jason
Tell me what you're chasin'
Because the night will never give you what you want
Oooh Jason
And if you can't escape it
I hope you find whatever you've been looking for
And I'm gonna keep on, keep on, keep on, keep on
Keep on running
Keep on running
And I'm gonna keep on, keep on, keep on, keep on
Keep on running
And I'm gonna keep on running
[Chorus: Nikki Flores]
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh
Oooh Jason
Tell me what you're chasin'
Because the night will never give you what you want
Oooh Jason
And if you can't escape it
I hope you find whatever you've been looking for
[Outro: Nicki Flores]
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh
Keep on running
Keep on running
As a child of the late 70's/ early
80's this song is something special...it hits a lot of cords AND, it keeps me running despite me not named Jason.
Oooh Jason
Tell me what you're chasin'
Because the night will never give you what you want
Oooh Jason
And if you can't escape it
I hope you find whatever you've been looking for

80's Spirit Now Shines At The Midnight 😎
This song was so brilliantly created you can literally insert “Keep On Running” in any part and it will fit perfectly! And they do such a great job building the song up with so many different feelings and sounds just to put your mind back to where that one distinctive piece that grabbed your attention from the intro and in this case “Keep On Running”whew!
Yeah the way it starts sounds like it´s leading to a different song.
This one of the greatest songs ever made. My brain almost cant handle how perfect everything goes together
Just this, I was introduced to it last night and it’s actually perfect
Currently writing a short story of unrequited love set in the 80's, inspired by this song. Thank you to The Midnight, you're my favorite synthwave artist ever
Are u still writing that story? Ive got something like that ive been working on.

Thank you Baldicante for let me know about this masterpiece, this song slaps.

This song is underrated! Whenever I get bored of my music, I can always count on this song.
This is so underappreciated
you speaking facts
Stop fucking saying words like "underappreciated" and "underrated" when you don't know what they mean. It's like this stupid ass generation overusing the word "literally". Just stop.
i cant describe what this makes me feel like.
i fcking love everything about this song and the sax solo just doesnt stop to impress me
Ok. So I'm a hardcore metal head. I went to a metal core show last week and in between bands they played this kind of music. I was like what is this? So I Google searched it. I absolutely love this.. ❤❤
Polarity my man, this is like a sorbet to cleanse the pallete
I've been in Hatebreed, Down, and Pantera circle pits
More and better energy available here.
Bro, everytime I hear a sax solo in a song, it sounds like the sax player is having the most fun of they're life. 10/10
I've played this track 20 times over, back to back and still haven't gotten over it! @themidnite y'all are gold! ❤
This music goes hard, feel free to download
So apparently GTA 6 is set in Vice City and has a protagonist named Jason. They had better have this song in it.
fr
Yeah gta is is known to have good songs this is possible
It would only hurt me because the game is not set in the 80's like i hoped for
@@twentytwo138 but still the song sounds futuristic
@@twentytwo138They couldn't really have this song in it if it was set in the 80s because this song is from the 2010s.
Came for the dog

Same. XD
Exactly my situation
The pup and his fire extinguisher sax keep the song strong.
I also came for the dog and stayed for the music 😭😭 it's so unique! 😍😍😍

@@Nostalgia_Addict I just might do that...
Shut up
@@TheNewb187 Take your own advice.
Synthwave is a great music genre, i love it so much
this song so good. Thanks Max for playing this on stream and letting me know it exists
What a freaking BANGER, played on loops for so many days
YESS THE MUSIC SIMPLY ADDICTING. IT HURT MY SOUL TO THE GROUND
This song is like memories from a past that I didn't have.
My favorite song by The Midnight. It's amazing, the music is beyond greatness
Dude. What a great song. I love the vocal tracks. Those subtle Harmonies in the the Chorus. The perfect amount of reverb and delay. Nikki, did a great job too, it fits so well with the track. You really captured that 80's feel. Don't stop making music.
My friend showed me your music in 2016, and due to insanity, forgot about you.. I'm glad I found you again and I wont let go! You're music is wow
loove this one. and nikki's voice so perfect in here!!
pure enjoy
Thank you Reckful for your service. I hope the darkness that burdened you in this life doesn't transpire into your next. Warm thoughts and feelings towards those who also bear a similar darkness. Every soul emits even the smallest amount of light, reach out.
J'ai pleuré la première fois que je l'ai écouté tellement ça fait du bien aux oreilles
Une vraie pépite sonore ce son.
Je me sens moins seul :-)
Tuerie ce son ! Comme tous les autres... genre Gloria
It is such an amazing song, your music helped me out me out of dark places. It’s nice to come back and have a listen to a classic tune. 😊
Best song from the album along with its follow up, Light Years.
Petition to get this on gta 6 🙈😅
💯 agreed
Simply incredible. Really happy to have discovered your group.
This song is just amazing ! This and days of thunder and also Robert Parker’s sweet nothings, we always have this playing over the Speaker system at work ❤️
Listening to this some on repeat for months. Love it.
3:54 That chord is pure eargasm.
That nostalgic feeling for a time i've never known when i listen to this music is what i like it!
Thanks for it, your songs are beautiful!
I became a recent fan. And this song is my #1 so far. Loooove it!!!

I had accidently came across this song on my trip to New York last week Sunday & I've been a total fan since finding this band. I was born in 1985 & my parents had played a vast range of music in the home. I am older now & some fragments of sounds tickles my soul an I had to go searching for it. To my huge surprise I didn't realize that my soul has been in love with the 80s. It makes you wanna dance, love, cry, feel uplifted, angry & in the end at peace. My favorite Netflix series is called Stranger Things & the series plays a lot of the 80s classics on there in every season. I love all musical genres but the future knows how to pull the 80s forward like it had never past by.
i hope that 2018 is an Endless Summer ! every song by The Midnight is pure gold !!!!!!! Nocturnal is my favorite album !!!!
It wasn't
This band makes me like the 80’s.
Sounds like a sampling of Flash Dance, sounds awesome. And the sax, as noted...next level.
This is synthwave elevated to art, well....to actual music. Musicianship, mixing, production, vibe, voices, very tasteful. And most of all...DOESN'T GET OLD. Well done, this is such a great band. I hope people recognize how much better this is than normal synthwave and WHY.
this will be my main party song on 30th, such a underated song
Her "ooohs" really carry the song.

Thanks to this, I now hace the mental image of Jason Voorhees playing a saxophone
@Miller Heileife with the rocky soundtrack "you're the best.." in the background od the montage xD
DUDE YES! And maybe a parte where Jason teaches Freddy just like Mr Miagy in Karate Kid where he makes him to the waxing, "Circles, Freddy San. Circles"
Id back this movie idea.
i forgot to leave a comment when i found this back in 2020 when i was 16. Remembering me and my younger and older cousin used to listen this together every night sitting on the terrace while quarantine, video calling our friends from long distance, chilling. its been 2 years the older cousin went to another country for a new job he got. Realized how fast the time went by. This song did a huge impact in my life. thank you for making this gem 💎

I'm 23, and this makes me feel like i'm in the 80s/90s, one of the better synthwave/retrowave tracks. Somehow sounds old, yet new.
It's just like the main commentary said: This being essentially what EDM would sound like if it was sent on a two way trip to the 80's and back. It's got all the blended of contemporary progressive house.
All I got to say is WOW!!. I accidently clicked on this song by mistake and now for sure I'm glad I did. This is one hell of a song, perfect in every way. Gonna have to check out some of their other stuff.
That's the kind of groove my Walkman needs.
