I love what you said starting at the 13:14 mark. Doing your thing, and figuring it out obviously by your results. It also backs up what I've said, you throw an insanely higher amount of power to a given setup, it changes things. Setting the strut deeper in the back, with negative prop shaft angle, very good Big B! Good luck going for 100mph! Sounds like you figuring it out. By putting in the time. Boat looks great on the water!
Thanks sam, shes a work in progress. I can definitely tell a difference with the way I have to tune this setup opposed to the stock setup.. seems like the faster the boat goes the higher the "aft ride height" needs to be. Almost like the air gets trapped under the hull and causes her to rise up at higher speeds? When I ran that negative angle the bow stayed planned but she was hopping, so I may flatten it back out, and raise the ride height a smidgen? See what that does next time out... Definitely wearing my brown pants when i take this one to the speed run spot!!! 😆
@@IRONCLADRC I would be real curious what your transom height measures. IF, you shimmed the sponsons up level with the centerline of the prop shaft. Idk if you watched my latest setup video, but my UL19 transom height measures 29mm above the setup board with the sponsons shimmed up 5mm. I think you may be running level. I'll include the link to my setup video. Not trying to get more views(don't really care about that tbh), I'm just curious about your setup with that much power. Maybe we can both learn something. Because someday I may throw some more power in my UL19... The link... th-cam.com/video/0nYqkOU7rw8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wlgzjNFuS-tEA3R6
Dang, how did I miss the ul19 setup video, I'm watching it right now.. never used a 5mm shim under the sponsons but it makes complete sense. Your running 29mm with the 5mm shim, so without the shim so your basically running a 24mm ride height with the sponsons on the setup board right, I just measured mine without the shims, mine is at 27mm at the transom Congratulations on the 111mph pass with the 33 on 6s, that's awesome 👌00 now I gotta catch up with you!
I actually have a question for you when you get a chance? How wide Is the rear ski on your jae21? Been curious for quite some time now! The oxidigger rear ski measures 35mm.
Great video Big B, Great run and your battery run time was longer than usual. You have shown the natural effect of heat loss robbing our motors of energy/torque, that is to say your setup was running very cool and look at the muscle your boat had, she was moving out on that 42mm 6pitch, So as much as we want to push things to there limit we need to define what that limit is, in this case running our boats up to but not past the point where they get so hot the efficiency drops off. That’s what I’ve learned here at Ironclad RC and a host of test and tunes on my part. I know you are setting that boat up for speed runs but it could definitely hold its own in a race, Great run 👍
Yup, that was the time to call it a quit after hitting the bank... Was wondering though what happens when you try to turn at high(er) speeds. Or does the ul not turn with this setup?
Lol, tropical storm may have blown them out of place? Hopefully they set them up in the middle of the pond cause I actually enjoy turning laps around them

@@IRONCLADRC Thank you sir!
Wow! That’s why we call it “IRONCLAD”! awesome B!

It's funny you said that. I was wondering where the trees went lol.😂. I thought you may have went to the other side of something.
LOVE THE LOOK OF THE UL-19. LOOKIN FAST B.
Conclusion is that it's faster on water than on land 😂😂😂👌👍🤙
Hey Big B, thought you was chasing the fastest water speed no land speed. Great running. 😂🤣
Awesome Big B👍
love this boat!
She's running great. Wish they still sold that boat I love it
whats the must have upgrades out the box to keep it in the water? This video made my decision for me it was this or another Blackjack 42
Toujours. Plus vite.

I'm running a shorter turn fin on my speed run setup so cornering isn't that great.
At least the shore there is grassy and somewhat soft. The ripp rap rock shores around where I live are very unforgiving
Oh man I wouldn't have any boats left if there were rocks around this pond. 😳
Hell yea, send it!
What motor is this?

@@IRONCLADRC love your content bud, wish I lived there so we could run some boats. Keep up the good work!
Damnit!
I liked that UL...😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😭😭😭
That thing hauls butthole😮!! You should come out to our lake man got a nice spot in a cove here at Lake Ray Robert’s Texas.
It’s hard to believe parks and rec moved those trees I’ve watch that show I don’t think they ever actually get anything done 😬
