Translate texts on the Galaxy S24 series with Galaxy AI and Chat Assist | Samsung US

Chat assist on the Galaxy S24 series makes it easier to text with friends and family who speak different languages. It allows you to type in your native language but sends the text it in theirs. To use this feature, you need to be signed into your Samsung and Google accounts, have Chat translation enabled in Settings. You also have to be using the default Samsung Keyboard and a supported messaging app, such as Samsung Messages or Android Messages.
To use the feature, tap the Galaxy AI icon in the Samsung Keyboard, and then tap Chat translation. Choose the language you want to translate to. Now, when you receive a text, it translates into the language of your choice! Chat Assist also recommends alternatives to what you write in different writing styles, such as Casual and Professional, based on your conversation. Copy and insert into the text field, and send! You can also translate into a different language and check spelling!
