Thank you! I had a lot of fun participating and meeting new friends on TH-cam! Yes! The Jello with carrots apparently was a thing at our family events. I don't remember it but I do recall my grandma aways having cherry jello with pears in it in her fridge. That was a staple in her kitchen, LOL!
Thank you! Not a day goes by that I am not using one of the dishes for something. Vintage Pyrex are the best dishes ever. Thank you for watching!! xoxo
As a child growing up in the 60s and 70s I remember jello moulds very well. My parents would use a lime jello and put cucumber in it. I know there were other varieties but I can’t remember them as well. Another oldie was the Ambrosia salad. I had forgot about it until I was watching Edward Scissorhands and a neighbour was going to make an ambrosia salad. Look it up! Sounds so strange years later.😂
Ambrosia salad. Oh my gosh, I'm totally looking that up! Sounds very interesting. I'm fascinated that the Jello-molds were such a popular thing and more surprised people at them! I really appreciate the elaborate ones with all the different layers. Amazing.
What a great collection of pyrex! I have seen this recipe before in a cookbook and it looked awful. Yours came out of the mold beautifully though and your presentation gets an a++. Your family was so funny. My grandma had a Betty cookbook like that too. Thanks for joining in! I tried adding your video to the playlist, but it would not let me.
Thank you! I was very Pyrex obsessed for a period of my life. Now I just love them and use them ALL the time. Well, except the top shelf-- to hard to get to those! LOL. I added the remainder of the pineapple in the middle with a sprinkle of carrot to give it a "halo" effect. :-) There's not much in that cookbook I like except for the chart on the inside hard cover showing you spices for foods-- such a helpful reference!! THANK YOU for such a FUN idea and inviting all us to collab with you! No worries on the playlist. I have yet to figure out exactly how to add my videos to collab playlists.
It's better with orange jello and add chopped walnuts. That's how we ate it when I was a kid. And a local restaurant serves it on their buffet. It's good. But lemon jello sounds awful!
Love your Pyrex collection!! ❤️
Fun that you participated. 😊
I’m 63 and remember a lime Jello with carrots at pot-lucks. 🥕🍍
Those were the days weren’t they?😂 I know we had a lime jello with cucumber but it might have had carrots as well.😋

Ohhh! Orange jello w/ pineapple. YES! I can see that tasting much better. Hmmm... should a try a do-over? 😁The lemon was definitely not good.
