I have a love and hate relationship with my mono Papillion 30. If you don't use an organizer, all your things tend to pile up on one side and will become lopsided when carrying it hand carry. It also like jumped outta my car seat and roll on the floor when driving. You'd need to put a seatbelt on this bag 🤣😂

I am curious have you noticed the quality of the canvas to be better for this bag than some of the newer bags? Handbag forums mention how the canvas has gotten thinner over the years. This is a main reason I’m looking at t this P30.
Hello! I'm so happy to hear the review was helpful to you. Yes!! The canvas was definitely better and thicker in the 1990s and early 2000s. I have not specifically compared the Papillon I have with what was sold in stores before it retired, but I have compared my Noe GM and Speedy 30 and noticed a difference. Especially w/ the Noes, the leather straps are thicker and the Epi leather in some of the older versions folded over the edge for even more durability. I hope that helps. I love them both! The Speedy 30 (holds much more) was my very first LV purchase. The Papillon was purchased 2-3 years later. Unlike the Papillon, the Speedy is available as a crossbody in the bandouliere model so that you can go back and forth between top-handle and crossbody if that is helpful.
You really should not tell people that LV authenticated your bag because Louis Vuitton DOES NOT authenticate bags. If you bring in a bag for a repair, and it is a fake, they will refuse the repair, and they are within their rights to confiscate the fake bag.
