I have this backpack and used it for overnight trips with my family in Japan. I would say that it was terrific to use with my kids because of the endless expansion. Jumpers, snack boxes, groceries just got shoved in the top so easily. However, it is super floppy when empty and hard to access as a 30L backpack for just everyday use. Moreover, there are so many straps flopping around that are hard to tuck away. So many pros, a few cons. The quality is very good though and it held up on our travels. Given that Japan is wonderfully clean, the fog colour wasnt a problem and came back clean. It was relatively comfy for me as a woman but my husband didnt think that the back foam system worked - he found it sweaty and uncomfortable.
I’ve been considering buying this exact bag but needed an honest review, thank you for this! It doesn’t get more honest than “I’m pretty sure you can strap shit to that” and “you could shove shit in there” LOL theft prevention is really important to me so I appreciate the zipper details! XO
How quickly/easily did the white backpack get dirty? Is it hard to clean it or is it not possible to get the stains brighter or off at all? My old backpack e.g. also got marks when I used sunscreen on longer trips. I like the white and the black version of it but I'm concerned that the white one will get dirty and look filthy too quick. I'm not a heavily hiker but I often use my backpack in summer for Beachvolleyball and spending the day at a lake, sometimes short hikes or other daily trips.
This is just an expensive toy, not a backpack. I had another tropic-feel backpack before, that's cool in terms of promotion video, but as backpack that is worst backpack Ive aver had. If you have 260 euro, just buy Osprey backpack it will be cheaper and much better in all scenarios.
@@txm100 actually everything. The main feature of backpack is help you to hold the weight of your gear. Osprey has great suspension system, normal size hip belt. It’s have back length regulation, because everybody has a different body size. After active years of travelling and outdoors I can say, that you does not need actually no one feature from the backpack excepts it should able help your carry the weight. There the main features that your backpack should to have: 1) it should have comfortable and adjustable suspension system 2) it should be lightweight 3) it should be durable If the backpack looks in this three categories, that’s bad backpack, even it have super-duper feature. And she’ll is a bad backpack
@@alxmamaevit all depends on what you need, yes, Osprey has better “frame” and shoulder straps. Definitely better at proper hiking, or if you’re gonna walk long distances. I have an Osprey, which I never use as it’s long, narrow and only top loaded. Really comfortable, but it’s basically just a long narrow tube so very ‘unpractical’ Terrible for backpacking/city trips. I know Osprey do have their ‘backpack’ versions, looked at a few but really didn’t like any of them. Too basic. You can tell the designers at Tropicfeel probably were influenced by backpacking city to city. While Osprey started out as a proper mountain hiking gear. Different use case

What makes this Osprey better? Looked at it and it does have non of the features of the Shelter one.
