I listened to this song and other Daughter tracks whilst riding a bicycle through the countryside of a village in Hungary, with deers running past, the cold wind against my face on a dirt road with nothing infront of me, never forget the feeling.

the song is called 'drift' ... it makes sense . The song literally drifts you into a world full of memories, thoughts, heartbreaking or joyful moments . The way the whole song is soothing it just is really good .
Actually, i rather have 400,000 listeners who actually genuinely appreciate Daughter's songs, then like 40million listeners who are just gona be like " Nah i don't get this sad song " or say hateful stuff to poison the comments section of Daughter's songs.

I find this music to be extremely tranquil! Especially in the morning when the sun is coming up. Or at night when the moon is high and the sky is clear and the air is crisp and cool. This particular music puts my daughter and myself right to sleep. And we wake, refreshed!

I'm human, but emotions still smother my resolve and leave me to run from the truth towards the lies. Taking my medicine I will drift into a land of make believe hoping to get lucky and stay there forever but even I have to be awakened to find my real home. Youth won't matter because I'm only growing older seeing different versions of tomorrow.
I left this comment when I was thirteen and since the likes and replies on it have seemed to disbursed into the void of the internet but I never really forgot the little-big response I got from it. It really catapulted my confidence in poetry and even now that it seems kinda cringe I wouldn't have met half the internet friends who have aided in healing my mental health or performed my poetry in front of people without this spark of confidence. I never forgot my love for this band and for all the people who left just a bit of encouragement, little things really mean a lot.
With that said here's a poem that is hopefully much less cringe to whoever might see:

it took a year for your scent to fade,
and the downy fur on my velveteen rabbit to roughen.
i wondered what pain would feel like a little more healed,
but my heart is still, rawness, pleated against exposure,
smaller than it once was.
