I love how they edited in a few captions + music, so they clearly know the basics of editing, but they can't manage to cut out the boring parts or combine a second recording after they empty the SD card
Although this video could have been far better... As a recent purchaser of this product, I can confirm that the tumbler does sharpen well. I was reluctant to buy but this weekend I sharpened all of my knives at home. All of them went from tearing through a piece of paper to slicing through it effortlessly. I just wanted to put that out there for anyone who was contemplating purchasing this product.
The first step is to sharpen a new constant angle of 15 or 20 degrees for the first time. Most knives have a certain angle from the factory, which is between 15 and 20 degrees, but it is not always consistent. The first sharpening therefore takes between 2 and 6 minutes. For special blades with high hardness, such as Damascus, it can take up to 10 minutes. From the second use, after the knife has become a little dull again, the re-sharpening takes only a few moves forward and backward, because the grinding angle is already given by the first re-sharpening.
FYI: Only some stainless is magnetic. My issue with this system is it requires very flat surface to really get the maximum out of it. Still not a bad idea and it works.

Would have been more useful to start the video again, especially as you was going for 1 take only. Seems a bit silly to rush it to get the one take, but we didn't get to see the results so the 1 take was rather redundant anyway.
So I’m confused do you let the Tumblr roll or do you hold it at an actual sturdy point? I mean do you hold it so it doesn’t move or do you just let it roll back-and-forth?
You will be the one rolling or pushing it back and forth. Thanks for reaching out! We have lots of videos showing how our product works! Be sure to check us out and let us know if you have any more questions!
TUMBLER. if you read this comment, you should lower the price, and include the leather strop in the set. this might change peoples mind about buying the product.
Tumbler has a diamond disc for your basic sharpening and a stainles steel honing disc to remove the burr that can occur during the sharpening. There is one on each side so you don’t have to switch them out!
@@tumblerusa but strops are for removing burr, and the point of changing grit if that you want to remove a lot of material first so you don't take forever grinding it down. Then go higher and higher in grit to refine the grain. I'm just confused because idk much about knife sharpening but Ik that from watching a lot of videos and reading books from people who diffidently know what they're talking about. Not hating just wondering why your use and language is so different to ,it seems, the rest of the community. Thank you and I'll probably buy one to check it out myself
@@_idk_18 My exact thought as well. I've seen some other rollers out there that have have interchangable discs with different grits on them so that you can do exactly what you're talking about. I feel like those would be better options.
Those particles on the knife edge are the burr. They also appear on the knife edge when sharpening with a whetstone. Because the burr would be on the knife edge regardless of how the knife is sharpened, we can safely conclude that the particles are not there because the blade had become magnetized.
Why the rush at the end? (Did you need to go to the toilet?). You definitely need to redo this video because the only purpose of this vid is to show the result in comparison with the start (dull knive). Perhaps take it offline, to not let people have the illusion you gonna show them the result. Sorry, but this was a waste of time for you and your audience. Next time better.😊

Is this the proper way to use this product? The knife is bending at the top which probably changes the degree of the angle, at some points he does short strokes instead of a full front to back motion, and he's not using the bess tester correctly, at least according to other videos that demonstrate how to use one. Next time just get someone who knows what they're doing, and if you don't want to edit the video at least fast forward through part of the process.
you did way to long on one side what is wrong with you do 50 strokes on one side an then switch to the other side and repeat lol your only sharpened one side basically
the entire point was to show the result. and you didnt do that.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Terrible video. Was looking to purchase one but not anymore. What a joke of a video.
Because they are scammers. Tumbler is a knockoff from the original german knife sharpener called HORL. Don't buy this trash.

Your method takes a lot of time and I don't think it's necessary. Just follow my instructions, it's much simpler.

Gotta say, at least consider editing the two together and making it one video, or perhaps reshooting with more space on the SD card 😂
just a scamer...
I hope that knife bites him one day, will be karma.
Where can i get that sharp reading meter? The device that detects sharpness
Of all your videos on this product this is the best one I've seen so far. Remember dull knives need coarser stones to get baby to normal
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
You're welcome

We appreciate your feedback, there are stainless steel knives that have magnetic properties that work with Tumbler 👍😎
The knife is bending sooo much. The magnet should be in the middle. This guy has never sharpened a knife irl.
I'll keep my Lansky Medic👍🏼 pocketsized and less than $20👍🏼 3-4 strokes and a couple on ceramic👍🏼 keep first aid kit stocked
Can you show the results please on the weighing scale thing 🤷🏻♂️🫤

How do you handle changing grits? You don't use the same grit to cut in the angle as you do to polish the edge.
