I miss the days of bumping into pete at a bar, seeing mike on his bike at belmont and damen or seeing vapid at a show and making the cheers motion. Now i have a career and aint the punk teen anymore but somehow it never died in me either.
Re-ripping my CD collection and found The Methadones' album, Career Objective, with a pick tucked into the jewel case... Suddenly I'm transported to the Turf Club in St. Paul, MN.. and I'm probably there because one of my brothers said "these guys are awesome, you should see them" and they were, indeed, awesome. Pretty sure the pick was spit out at the crowd...So it's probably got some 10 year old germs on it... but what great memories... and what a great song. :)
AidenGamer7Billion I’m still here and still get TH-cam comment notifications. I think I just forgot to mention the album on the original video when I posted it, so added that. What do you want to want to talk about, the last 12 years? I’ve aged 12 years.
I loved your polite and reasonable interchange of ideas guys :D and although I like pop punk and the methadones I can't disagree with @bedtimefordemocracy.
trashin' the Methodones? those hardcore kids never did understand what punk was really about. I ran into those guys in the 80's that thought the Ramones sucked. no clue. wonder how they feel about the N.Y. Dolls, that's if they ever even heard them. really sad.
Todd Weis I absolutely apologize on behalf of my generation. They are slow and have no idea what real music is. Kinda makes me wish I grew up in the punk era. Instead I got thrown in a generation of zombies with their phones planted in their faces and idiots who like Led Zeppelin
@@shaundrezek4330 damn why you gotta do Led Zeppelin dirty. I know this was 3 years ago, but just so you know I like Led Zeppelin, Punk, and Heavy Metal. No need to be such a punk supremacist lol.
@@j.hateshisjob5137 exactly dude...Led Zeppelin fuckin rocks, as does Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Venom, Judas Priest, Mercyful Fate, Celtic Frost... Metal and Punk forever!
@@rufussamsquanch_6547 Nice dude. I just can't stand those "they don't know what real music is like" types of people. Let people enjoy what they want, as long as it isn't country LOL.
@@j.hateshisjob5137 I like some old skool outlaw country shit but that's another level those motherfuckers were even more hardcore than most Rock stars. Not like cmt shit.
actually my style is bands like fang, middle class, negative approach, 7 seconds, disfear, and dropdead. good try on the blink 182 accusation but 100% innacurate
it's just like too poppy of riffs for me in general. i can sense a very slight green day rip in the vocal style too. also i don't really like the drumming he's doing quarter note hi hats instead of 8th notes. it'd sound better w/ 8th notes. i love other bands that are similar to this though like the queers. it's just something about this song really

Still play all their stuff.
Was not expecting to hear this on the end credits of the Abercrombie & Fitch documentary on Netflix. But loved that it happened!
Love it, they've been playing classic punk since before it was classic.
Amen dude
Chicago punk rock is gold

Where is "Club Foot"? I'd totally go to a show there.
Long gone, but wonderfully preserved in this video❤, it used to be on Augusta, west of Ashland (the 2nd location i think)

Dan's a really outspoken fan of powerpop
Jager isn't punk rock. Im sorry
Fair enough, methadones are a good band, but i'd much rather listen to teen idols or teenage bottlerocket.
great song and vid
