23:19 If you look at the bottom of the message, it says encrypted with a strange string of Alphanumeric characters. To someone who knows a decent amount of cryptography, these characters are very apparent as a Base64 encoded message. Additionally, the string "NjcyOjM6MzEz" is repeated 3 times in this message. Plugging this string into a decoder gives the following decoded message: "672:3:313". It took me a second to realize, but these are almost certainly coordinates within the game (I noticed a similar format at the bottom left of the screen for the first time). I don't know what is at those coordinates (I don't actually have the game), but it would be interesting to find out. Also, I just think it's really cool that the devs put this little easter egg of an actual encoded message in the game
If you go to the canyons to the South-by-South-East you can climb the vines, at the top of each rock formation there is a zeolite and some have other things as well.
I built my base with the Biolab as the Centerpiece. A large room on every side, with the Crafting room just before the Biolab console. Storage rooms on each side with Tree domes on the outside of those. A Food room on the far side. Storage extends from everything else, each housing the items pertaining to the above area needs. It was my 4th Base iteration and I like it the most thus far.
Z, I recommend you build a shredder at your extractors. It comes in handy getting rid of the basic resources you aren't going for and keeping the extractor's inventory cleaned out. Allows it to keeping pulling resources.
Huh, I empty the extractor, walk behind it and just dump the trash into a pile. The extractor keeps going and if I ever need 12 titanium or whatever, I can just get that there.
I honestly don’t understand the purpose of the shredder. When I get stuff I don’t want from my extractors, I just move it to my inventory and drop it lol
Interesting fact: you can recycle almost anything in the recycler like superalloy and the machine will give back ALL of the resources that go into crafting it, even if it's superalloy you got from a drill or meteor shower; this makes it very handy and easy to get the basic resources when you're running low
You could build some rooms 1 or 2 high in the middle and have glass corners so you have a nice view, and maybe put some furnitures in. Doesnt more trees speed up the bug speed. Maybe some more lights around the base, would look nice in the dark tho.
Feel free wherever you build a bedroom to add doors to separate it for atheistic purposes. It looks nicer to have an isolated bedroom. Where you build a storage place (overflow or otherwise) is up to you. I would collect Tree Bark to keep production going. And you are definitely using the shredder correctly.
I think it sorts alphabetically by item IDs and Super Alloy is probably defined like [alloy_super] or just [alloy] in its item ID, that way Alloy comes before Aluminium since L comes before U, its the sorting of ALL vs ALU.
I love this series! I hope it continues for a while and never ends! Also, I think you should utilize that big area for second storage and use the upstairs area as a living area. It'll be a really cool area if the game lets you sleep and be able to use some of that stuff
Z, trying to save you a headache in the future with power. Zeolite is limited and needed for tree spreaders. Use nuclear reactors as your power and save the zeolite for tree spreaders. Otherwise you're going to need a million rockets to get the fusion core unlocked
I also cried a little inside when they used a golden seed as a flowerpot flower. The most rare of all items at the time of this posting (up to 11 if you find all golden crates.)
The command center needs a chair. I also think putting the corner rooms everywhere, with more windows and interior doors would bring it all together nicely
Im addicted to the demo of this too! Its fun to see how people with a pC capable of running it put everything at one huge base while i, with a 10 yr old laptop spread things out so i can keep a double digit frame rate, lol
It's also really nice that you can easily do that without having to worry about power logistics and such. Makes it a little more relaxing thank Satisfactory in that way
I know it's not functional, but I'd love to see you make a living space. Like a bedroom and a living room, maybe some lamps with the color set to orange for a nice warm glow. You could use those beds and couches and stuff.
I think they need to add a few things into the game. 1. A better(easier) way to deal with inventory management. (See Terraria) 2. Remote Chest Sensors to see what has what, at what amount & where. 3. Placable cameras that can be put on the monitors.
You can place the big screens on the glass walls, You just need to place the screens and then place the glass wall. Would look good for your command corner
Z. If you are looking for a new game I recommend caftopia. It's still in early access, haven't seen it on your channel unless I missed it. I think it's the perfect game for you! Survival adventure, has dungeons and alot of fun stuff.
You should do beacons on either side of the main entry, that are green and red to represent direction on your base, like the lights on the wings of airplanes
What i'd do for storage would be to have one of those big rooms for each type of resource, like one big room full of only iron, one with only magnesium, so on and forth.
Habitat or living spaces can be built on upper levels. one can NEVER have enough Storage. basic resources and Super Alloy should have 3-4 lockers of space to hold them.
The second floor should be a living space. A bedroom, living room, and possibly a trophy room. You could use the space to try out the decorations and fluff items. Downstairs is already production, power, food, and storage. Perhaps leave a space for future update items? Its looking good at present.
pro tip. have the ramp of the recycler pointing into a wall to contain the goodies. pro tip 2. you can stack the little screens. you have to finess it a little but the gps screen for sure will stack. Try making a tree out of the golden seed :P
The sorting confusion is most likely because the developers are from France. So they probably call it "alliage super" which translates to super alloy but starts with an a.
@@voriot4679 Well, it was a theory. Perhaps, internally it's just called "alliage" or even alloy because it pretty much has to start with an a to make the sorting scheme make sense.

I have a Recycler but didn't keep the Shredder, just don't see a need for it. I have a separate big room for all the rare ores. Just waiting for more blueprints and slowly edging up in the insect time period hahaha Great videos man.
For example Build a bunch of square buildings going all the way up then you have the top floor And those corner windows that you did in the front base put those all the way around the square And then from there on you can see everything
I'm not the last person on the planet and I don't lock my doors ever. My family never did either growing up, we had an extra 7 to 10 people over for dinner every night.
Z, for a info you can put plants in the recycler and get seeds, this may not be true because I have never played the game but my friend has and he told me you could.
If you have any rooms spare close it off on all side with glass and a single door and them fill it with eggplants just dropped on the floor. No particular reason, just to leave the next person to visit your base to wonder why you did it.
I know this is from last year but I keep waiting for Z to realize there is furniture for a living space... He's not the only one, everyone I have watched completely ignores the creature comforts like beds and couches and potted plants LOL... I need to find a girl gamer to watch!
School french from last century is a bit foggy but the alphabet sorting might be done before translation into english, might be why the alloy comes before aluminium
I grew up the time you didn't have to lock your doors Well if I knew I was the last one left on the planet I wouldn't worry about locking the doors or anything like that
Z, why do you use t2 ore extractors on basic resources??? You get this trash also if you mine valuable resources, just a bit longer transport line to base. Keep a cabinet full off each basic and bring back home refill once you collect valuable resources... Basics are anyway not required for advanced tech, even aluminium becomes obsolete for top tier maschines... Used to craft super alloys, even shred them from time to time...
This. Use T1 for basic non specialized (Usually made to collect SuperAlloy Materials but just for Iron is fine) resource collection. The time needed to collect is negligible.

the shredder updated a short bit ago, but it only effect shredder build after update. any prior built one still stuck in old size.

Would be really cool as if you build like a round like tower In the center of your base and make your room Have a ladder going up
Love watching this series but you forgot to put a chair in the command center thats the most vital equipment missing
I have never locked my doors. The beauty of living in the middle of nowhere.
Need to build that 30 story tall Lookout tower topped with corner units
In the lake at the starting area is a deconstrucable wall which hides a cave with a dead terraformer and some nice loot
I think you should put the living space in an area on the third level - that way you can surround it with windows.
Z definitely has trust issues. But he's not wrong. I'd always lock my doors even if I was the only person alive
Keep doing this series! I love it :)
Just going to say this for extractors late game:
4 iridium
3 sulfur
2 osmium
4 uranium
4 super alloy
2 aluminum

Hi there is another hidden location a cave in the lake near your base it has a body in there plus a case go look
Where is this?
In a stone wall underwater to the left (as you look at the wreck on the hill) , you need the deconstruct tool ready.
I added beacons to all my drills around the map with the color of what it is mining. White is home..
Your not alone z. We are always watching when you sleep XD

The "shredding machine" looks like a coffeemaker... o.o
The expansion of the item destroyer was in an update yesterday!
I love your video z1 pls keep up
You were quite late in setting up the communications center. Had it been earlier set up you'd have gotten those messages around the right stage.
Theres a secret cave with a dead body right by your base in the lake. You have to deconstruct a rock wall to access it.
Well dang, there's a body there now, amazing!
put a chair in front of command centre desk
You know you can build doors inside. I think that would help your build a lot.
