Way to go Ricki Lake, I’m on a similar journey. I changed my eating habits and life style and went from 175lbs to 155lbs in the last 2-3 months. My goal is it hit 145 by my 40th birthday and stay there. Making changes like that is very hard at first but over time it becomes a new habit and gets a lot easier. My thoughts are with everyone out there struggling to make this important change in your life. As I’ve lost weight I’ve been able to fit in clothes that I haven’t worn since my 20’s. now I’m that “out of style dad” hahaha.
@@MeriysiI went from about 170lbs to 150lbs since January. The main thing I’ve done is cut back significantly on ultra processed food. I’d say previously about 60% of my diet throughout a week was ultra-processed and now it’s closer to 20%. My diet is mainly fruits, veggies, poultry, fish, nuts, seeds, eggs, yogurt, cheese, milk, whole grains, olive oil, honey, the occasional red meat, etc. I started by choosing one meal a week (breakfast) where I’d make something fresh. After a few weeks, I started focusing on my snacks. This helped me ease into a new lifestyle rather than trying to completely change every single meal I was eating all at once. I think trying to change too much at the beginning would have been overwhelming and I don’t think I would have kept to it. I still eat ultra-processed stuff, takeout, refined sugars/flours, etc., but those things are definitely treats now and not a regular staple in my diet. I’m not sure if what I did will help you or others, but I thought I would share in case it could help.
Walking was a huge changer for me. Getting up and walking a minimum of one hour each morning and afternoon. Moving is also key to weight loss. I also drink tea with just chopped ginger in it. Ginger is known for weight loss but I just use the same cup all day with the ginger and end of day throw it out. There are also many TH-cam videos that are helpful for weight loss that only go for ten minutes so no excuses to move. Good luck.
She is telling the truth. I did it. Stop eating carbs and sugar while intermittent fasting for at least 12 hours each day. And watch your body transform into the healthy body you desire. That's how I lost 50 pounds.

I have 3 relatives on Ozempic. How weight loss drugs can change your life: 1. There is MASSIVE muscle loss - much more than without the drugs. 2. Thyroid Caner & Pancreatitis are a thing. 3. You really DO have to take them for life. My sister said as soon as she stopped taking Ozempic the weight came back super fast with a vengeance - so now she’s back on it. What would happen if some day she can’t afford these drugs any more? There are many other considerations that Dr. Mark Hyman covers in his videos on YT. It’s smart to be informed before using this stuff. Obesity has its own set of health care risks but these drugs haven’t had enough clinical trials to make me feel comfortable risking possibly even MORE side effects later. But that’s just me. 💕
In our culture it’s so common now to say we shouldn’t JUDGE people. But here we are accusing & convicting someone of something with ZERO proof! I sure hope you’re not a Lawyer, Lynn, because if you were you’d be living on Food Stamps. 💕
Good for you Ricki! Everyone has their choice and it just makes me sad that people are not listening to Ozempic effects! I mean, when the studies show they will have thyroid cancer in 2 years? That would be enough to scare me off.

Stay the course and be the best version of yourself possible. Hater’s gonna hate regardless, but I for one applaud your decision to forge ahead without drugs!
I use to watch the Ricki Lake show when I was a kid, she is very much nostalgic to me. I just remember thinking how nice she was and how she reminded me of a teacher. I’m so happy that she’s doing well.
1. A MASSIVE amount of muscle loss (making the metabolism slow down even MORE.) 2. Increased risk of Thyroid Cancer & Pancreatitis. 3. Must be on it for LIFE (or the weight piles back on very quickly.) My Doctor offered it to me but there’s too many risks for me. 💕

What would happen if some day she can’t afford these drugs any more?
There are many other considerations that
Dr. Mark Hyman covers in his videos on YT.
It’s smart to be informed before using this stuff.
Obesity has its own set of health care risks but these drugs haven’t had enough clinical trials to make me feel comfortable risking possibly even MORE side effects later.
But that’s just me.
💕
Keto
Her joy is envious, so happy for her❤
Just like Kelly Clarkson. Suddenly diet and exercise are working for her! It's a miracle!
Sarcasm almost never works on these boards.
In our culture it’s so common now to say we shouldn’t JUDGE people.
But here we are accusing & convicting someone of something with ZERO proof!
I sure hope you’re not a Lawyer, Lynn, because if you were you’d be living on Food Stamps.
💕
@@akrenwinkle LOL! Yeah, it does!
@@roberthanisko9749 Stop being sarcastic.
@@Lauren-i8i You're being judgmental.
I.m 68 and don't have a trainer or personal chef. But I've lost 65 pounds since October by eating all fresh unprocessed foods and with no drugs.
Ricki Lake you look so beautiful and I am so glad you are happy.
It's how she constantly tackles every challenge with a smile and wonderful attitude
Good for you Ricki! Everyone has their choice and it just makes me sad that people are not listening to Ozempic effects! I mean, when the studies show they will have thyroid cancer in 2 years? That would be enough to scare me off.
It really is so nice to see Ricki Lake so happy. What a sweet beam of light she has always been. Thank you for sharing your life with my family Ms. Lake❤.
Proof of a smart lady. There is no quick fix to weight loss. Diet, exercise and patience always pays off. Congratulations Ms. Lake.
Ricki has always been beautiful, and still is. She has the best smile.💖
So awesome!! You go girl- Wishing you the best and here's to the next 50..
So happy for you Ricki. I'm sure you have helped a lot of people. Sending peace-filled thoughts to everyone.
Lost 180 pounds , got a divorce 😅
I hear you!!
If he was an average size man , you lost something like 380 pounds! Total respect for your accomplishment!
😂😂😂😂❤
🤣😂🤣 for me 280!!
I always liked Ricki Lake. It's really good to see her living her best life and being in love ❤️ 🎉
Don’t let all the ugly comments phase you. Truth cannot be changed by cynicism. The road to healthy weight management is lifelong as you are clearly aware. Stay the course and be the best version of yourself possible. Hater’s gonna hate regardless, but I for one applaud your decision to forge ahead without drugs!
👏👏👏
Congratulations to her! Such a great inspiration to so many that you can do it without medical assistance. Thank you for sharing ! ❤
I am so happy for you both!!
She looks amazing at her age. Natural healthy and glowing.
Ricki looks great!!!
She has aged so well. She is beautiful.
You look amazing and I love your gray hair! ❤
I use to watch the Ricki Lake show when I was a kid, she is very much nostalgic to me. I just remember thinking how nice she was and how she reminded me of a teacher. I’m so happy that she’s doing well.
Ozempic is a hell of a drug 🧐
You lose your appetite. Eat less.
@@Sharyk808you eat less
1. A MASSIVE amount of muscle loss (making the metabolism slow down even MORE.)
2. Increased risk of Thyroid Cancer &
Pancreatitis.
3. Must be on it for LIFE (or the weight piles back on very quickly.)
My Doctor offered it to me but there’s too many risks for me.
💕
Ozempic is a terrible drug and wait for the fall out, just like the Covid vaccines
She looks amazing. I've been a fan since the 90s. If she returns to mainstream, I am right there. Go Ricki😊
I’ve always liked her. Her husband looks like a nice guy. I loved her on KoQ. I’m happy for her.
He looks 🌈
I love how she says "I love being my age"! Yay!!!! We need more ladies saying that!
When we stop criticizing women, more women will love their age.
Go Ricki Go Ricki !!!!
She looks truly content with her life ❤
I managed to lose 3 stone without a personal chef or drugs moved to France and swam every day for an hour, all you need to do not Diet but eat healthily and move keep moving. It’s amazing what would happen
Love Ricki Lake!! Miss her. She looks FANTASTIC!! Love her hair!! You Go Ricki!!
Dang, Ricki has been losing 35 pounds since the early 90's.
😂😂😂I remember her messy ass talk show. Watched it everyday during the summer.
Wow she looks wonderful. Love the gray hair on her!
I feel bad for Rikki Lake. For the rest of her life she will be defined by her weight. Like damn. Is 35 pounds that newsworthy?
She truly looks amazing!
Ricki looks amazing.
She looks amazing. Hair full of grey and barely any wrinkles on her face.
She should dye her hair.
I adore her! So happy she's happy and her and her man decided to make lifestyle changes organically!! I've met her and had a convo and she TRULY is a down to earth, genuinely nice person GOOO RICKY ❤❤
I love Ricki Lake at every size. She is a beautiful and smart person:)
She looks so happy, so beautiful, really at peace
She looks great!
I’ve always been a fan of rikki since her movie hairspray to her talk show. Happy to see her happy, in love, and most of all finally healthy. ❤
Girl it’s called Ozempic, don’t be shy. It makes it easy to change your eating and lifestyle habits when you’re not hungry... I’m all for it, I lost 40lbs with Mounjaro 😅
And lol at 57 you’re very likely not perimenopausal Ricki. More like post menopausal.
How long did you try regular exercise and a healthy diet before you gave up?
Wow -
It’s yet ANOTHER person calling Ricki Lake a liar.
You shouldn’t accuse anyone of anything without solid proof!
💕
@@Lauren-i8i Not me. You responded to the wrong person.
I always liked her - so happy that her life has turned out so well.
Very happy for her, awesome feeling losing all that weight. But something doesn't quite add up. Usually there's like a book publishing grift or something.
Ricki promoted her work in helping others and maybe that was part of her motivation for doing this.
💕
I applaud you Ricky. You found the key to real happiness and the true answer. We need more examples like you. Starts from within and it shows 💗
