Great job thanks for sharing. I have a question about case 70: why they have closed ASD with 3 devices? And what is better to close with 3 device or to do open heart surgery?
Excellent question, multiple devices are used for patients in whom open heart surgery cant be performed or at very high risk for surgery so percutaneous approach is used. In general if ASD margins are good where closure device can sit easily, percutaneous approach is preferable. And if margins are poor and defect is so large requiring multiple devices , open heart surgery is preferred.
Good for practice but you need to study any short text book, practice MCQs and watch board review lectures Here are the links Echocardiography MCQs: th-cam.com/play/PLdLUoX4jbn3h6nRzhPlLcNWl1kOfQyV9a.html Lectures: www.drmusmanjaved.com/p/medical-lectures.html
This view is mid esophageal short axis view at AV. LAA is best visualized in the mid-esophageal two-chamber view (80-100°) and the mid-esophageal aortic valve short-axis view (30-60°).
