At 1:39 you say that you want 2/3 the space to be on the other side and one third on this side -- I think that's the opposite of that the diagram says? But actually I'm struggling to figure this bit out because how do I set the pad to a fixed spot when the caliper is loose and can move? Hmmm
You can adjust the brake lever reach with the set screw close to the hinge of the lever. Screw in to make the lever close to the handle bar in normal position.
Front brake is easier because you can see how much space is between the rotor and pads. For the rear brake you can tighten both inboard and outboard adjusters all the way tight. Then back off 2 clicks one side at a time until you don't hear the rotor rubbing against the pads anymore.
Thats not rust thats brown dirt stuck to chain lube. It just needs a good cleaning with WD40 and some clean rags or kitchen towels and then a few drops of fresh lube.
Is your entire family making comments here? Lol. Most people coming here have never worked on these disc brakes, so don't be afraid to be even more didactic. Use a pointer even to not block the view. cheers.
Great video great explaining without waffling.
Very clear and helpful. Back brake is working so well now that I will have to adjust the front, too, which I thought was in fine form.
Thanks,
Alex

That chain is almost as rusty as mine.
Do you have a version without music. It distracts from the good things you are saying.
