Skoolie Bathroom Build Pt 3 (Shower Pan & Durock) | 2020 Bus Conversion - Ep 23

Wondering how to build a shower in a skoolie? Can you install durock in a skoolie? YES!
Our skoolie bathroom build is into part 3. We’re putting a full wet bath in a skoolie! In this week’s episode, we install a custom shower pan and Durock cement board on the walls.
The shower pan mortar bed is made out of deck mud (dry pack), a PVC shower liner, and another layer of deck mud. The deck mud is part-sand, part-cement with a little bit of water. The first layer is pitched and gives the shower the necessary slope to get water to the drain, and the second layer is the base for the tile. This was something new to all three of us, and it took quite a bit of researching, reading, and (of course) watching TH-cam videos! So, Enjoy!
