Hi everyone! It's Jason here! Just wanted to congratulate Darian again for the strong finish. I also played a very similar list to Darian's for the Toronto regional as well but I wanted to be more experimental. Especially with the expanded Kash package. I've found that turn 1 Unicorn with Starfire enables so much plus the threat of the extra deck rip if they try to handtrap you. However, after some reflection, even though the deck can play through droll normally very well. I unfortunately opened myself up to droll a lot more than I had hoped in practice with Unicorn being the first search rather than Engraver/Tract being the first search. Regardless, I would definitely attempt to play this deck again in the future at a Regional or at an event with higher stakes. As mentioned the biggest weakness of the deck is if Fuwa does resolve on you. However, the deck is especially strong at breaking boards and offers very very strong follow up potential. Thanks again to James for filming and Darian for having me on the profile. :)
@@JasonRy8 That’s okay I was out round 5 too didn’t sleep got absolutely destroyed by Matthew Vanden-Heuvel and wasn’t my day but good luck in the ROTA OTS :)
Good job nonetheless buddy! It’s good to try knew things in order to improve. Maybe the Unicorn it’s not the best approach because Droll is relevant atm. One question if you win the dice roll with this deck list you still go first, right?
I think I may have played against this duelist on DB recently - I was trying out different cards in Niko's list and they absolutely smoked me with this list lol. great result, well done!
Mad respect. Fuwaloss is strong but there are a lot of maindeck viable cards that deal with it (assuming your deck cant inherently beat it). I main world chalice, which is a deck youd expect to super lose to both charmies, but I dont think ive ever lost a game where I got charmied. I think the adventure engine might see a resurgence since it is a viable way to play into charmies.
Heard this guy was the bron of the tournament. Wish I could’ve been there to witness greatness. We need more innovators like this lil Asian dud. Anyways if he ain’t get first way even make this video. Bro came 3rd talking like he came first.
