Mutation and its Types | Lecture 11

Mutation
A mutation is a change or transformation.
In biology, mutations refer to changes in chromosomes and genes, which typically manifest physically.
Types of Mutation Mutations can be classified in various ways depending on the cause of the mutation, its effect on the function of the gene product or the kind of changes to the structure of the gene itself.
Mutation can be Gene or DNA mutation also called point mutation. Point mutation can be deletion, insertion, substitution.
Other type of mutation is chromosomal aberration which can be chromosomal structural mutation and chromosomal number mutation.
It is further divided into deletion, inversion, translocation, duplication, Euploidy, Aneuploidy, monosomy, Nullisomy or nullosomy, Trisomy, Tetrasomy, Triploid, Tetraploid, polyploid, Spontaneous mutation, Induced mutation, germline mutation or hereditary mutation, somatic mutation, acquired mutation, de-novo mutation etc.
Mutation causing agents are called mutagens, it can be physical mutagen and chemical mutagen

Sir उसको MECOM Gene Associated Syndrome था
Chromosome 3 q26.2
Intron 11
Autosomal Dominant
Likely Pathogenic
उसको Amegakaryocytic Thrombocytopenia और Radio ulnar Synostosis था
Doctors (Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome) बोलते थे
एक पैर मे Clubfoot था
और ये सब, बच्चे की NGS की जांच मे पता चला
बच्चे का Whole Exome Sequencing हुआ था (Bone Marrow के Sample से)
Sir मज़े की बात ये हैँ की........ हम दोनों मियां बीवी का Sanger Sequencing भी हुआ, पर हम दोनों मे वो Varient नही मिला जो बच्चे को Affect किया था.... 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Genetics Expert ने बताया की ये
De novo type का Mutation हुआ हैँ 😢
मेरा पहला बच्चा था
February 2023 को पैदा हुआ था
10 महीने Servive किया फिर December 2023 मे Expire हो गया.....
मुझे तो बड़ी हैरानी हो रही हैँ कि ऐसा सब कुछ मेरे ही साथ क्यूँ हुआ....😢
मुझे एक बात समझ नही आयी कि अगर ये Germline Mutation हैँ.... तो Gametes मे Problem Present होती हैँ कि नही......????
और अगर Gametes मे कोई Problem रहतीं हैँ
तो हम दोनों का Sanger Sequencing Negative कैसे आया.............
और अगर Negative था, तो उसको ये बीमारी कैसे हो गयी 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Genetic Expert ये बताई थी कि जो बच्चे को हुआ था वो
, Embryonic Development Stage मे हुआ होगा, Sponteneously (at the Time of Miotosis)
मुझे तो इस Mutation शब्द से नफ़रत हो गयी हैँ
