Sprockets work fine and I've converted my HDs for many years. The compensators don't do much except malfunction. Other makes figured out cush drives are superior before most bikers today learned to ride, but final drive belts make those unnecessary/
Isn’t it stock 34 already with the compensator? I did a compensator delete on my 2020 freewheeler and went with a 30 tooth front sprocket for quicker acceleration and my rpm’s at 70mph is only 3250 with a 4 tooth drop. I also did a 22xe cam kit and full exhaust with a power vision tuner and heavy breather and for a 1100 pound 114 tricycle it rolls out pretty good.
Curious, how'd the rekluse work for you? I had one installed on my RG3 by the dealer and it's burned out twice. First time was within 20 miles. This time made it to 1,000 miles. Been told it was not properly installed by the original dealer who also replaced it erroneously. Now at the second dealer (initially took it in for 1,000-mile service) waiting to get it back. It's been over two weeks?!?! Rekluse was great about the replacements, but struggling to trust it. Would love your thoughts or any advice.
Ouch- so sorry to hear this. I've been to Sturgis with it, road around since last August, etc etc. Definitely not installed correct or something? I have over 10k miles & works great. Rekluse checked my cable, etc. when I was out there & had to barely adjust. Again, sorry to hear this. There should be no issues & someone has installed incorrectly is my guesstimate. Call Rejluse & see where they will be at a rally & See Them immediately. I had mine in my roadglide & transferred to my trike with no issues. I really hope you get this straightened out.
I reached out to Rekluse and am waiting to hear back about the rally's. One more question, do you ride above the recommended 2400 or 2800 RPMs when cruising? I have gotten mixed information from various folks at Rekluse about the right minimum RPMs when cruising?
@@mkingviehland I k ow that any Harley-Davidson doesn't like cruising under 2k rpms. Not sure exactly what you mean? I cruise comfortably at 2400-2800 rpms. Not sure if this answers that question. However, Burning out clutches could mean improper install. Also- if you are forcing your machine in a higher gear while at low speeds...that will burn out clutches. Coming out from a stop light & you're not in 1st gear will put too much load on clutch plates with or without rekluse clutch. Hope this helps.
RPM's have dropped 400. At this time not sure if its the gearing, but my cruise control is not working. Can Not figure if it's b/c of the change or something else is going wrong? Other than that ot calmed.down my engine alot. Don't want you/or anyone to change gearing if it effects cruise controls? I don't know at this time. Still trying to figure it out. Thank you

Please leave any comments...questions about the Rekluse clutch system & installing.
Could you tell us how it’s supposed to work and how many rpm’s are dropped? Thnx
