    I went with the 16"M1 Max 32 64 GB 4 TB. The laptop is a beast handles everything I throw at it. This is the best Apple product I have ever bought. Love the space love the screen real estate and with these kind of specs I'm set for a good 10 years or more. The sound is awesome.

      Can't even imagine what it's like using the M1 Max with 64GB RAM! Just the M1 Pro is powerful enough for me, and I've still yet to hear the fan kick off!

      Hi, what made you choose 4 tb?
      I ordered a 64 gb ram with 4 tb but niw they tell me they are not sure it will even come as the Chinese communist party locked all people up and closed the fwctories 🤦🏼‍♂️🙇🏼🤬… so they tell me that what I can get by next week is a Mac Studio Ultra but only with 1 tb storage…
      i really do not know how to choose… they say if the macbook pro comes it will take 12 weeks… if it comes at all! 🥶
      So, please tll me how you plan to use the ram memory and the tb storage, what made you choose so much tb internal storage?
      What will you do with your computer?
      Thanks!

      @@SimplicityForGood I went with the 16 inch because I like the bigger laptop and a little bit of weight doesn't bother me I went with the Max chip because that's the only way you can get the most ram and I went with four terabytes because I wanted extra storage in the laptop even though I use external ssds. I do photo editing as a hobby for relaxation along with photography. I'm branching out into videos and giving that a try. It's nice to learn new things. I'm not made of money I worked a lot of overtime to get it. I don't use this for work. yes for what I'm doing it's overkill but at least I won't have to worry about buying another laptop for 10 plus years. I hope the shipping situation changes soon so you can get your MacBook as fast as possible.

      @@brianpratt2432 thanks! Seeing how China behaves towards their citizens, and on top of that supporting Putin now one can just wonder why apple have not considered to just bring home their production and open up their own factories in America or Europe!
      They should have as soon as covid-19 was considered s pandemic as zi see it, this situation right now is nuts! Looking up 100 000 of people in Shanghai and other highly important cities for international trade and offices like this will not make China a good trading partner in the coming years! They have difference in performance but only slightly due to better thermals on the bigger 16in but this is important.
    Important is that the base MBP 14" in has the 8 core CPU and a 14 core GPU the bigger 16in has a 10 core CPU ans 16 core GPU. At this point the prices difference is 500$.
    But if you upgrade the 14in to the same spec of the 16 in the price difference is only 200$.

    Just bought a MBP 14 MAX 32GPU with 64GB Ram 2TB SSD. Coming from 2018 15 top spec MBP and prior to that a 2011 17 inch MBP, I must say that the 14 MBP is indeed a powerhouse. It blows my mind that a machine like this exists.
    I'm still in my grace period with Apple and although I love this machine, I'm seriously considering the 16inch fully maxed with a 8TB SSD. I'm a music producer and also shoot video music videos as well.
    I am over having external drives hanging off the machine etc. A laptop should be totally self contained as far as I'm concerned. Also the internal SSDs are as fast as the intel MBP ram from a few years ago let alone the current ram chips in these machines today.
    Yes it's pricey and it hurts 😢 but I don't want to go through this for at least another 5 years.
    It enhances my work flow and that's what it's all about, for me anyway.
    Thermals on the 14 MBP do concern me though, and it does minutely shorten the life of the product over time, slightly decreases its performance, not drastically although they won't tell you that.
    Even Apple can't defy physics and trying to mitigate heat with higher fan speeds (and more fan noise) can only achieve so much. The 16 M1 models are better at staying cool organically in addition to having larger fans and cooling architecture and will perform better and last longer when pushed to their limits for that matter!
    This has been the hardest laptop buying decision due to all the variations available which is a great thing.
    I really wanted yo give the 14 a go and don't get me wrong I love it for what it is, but the screen size is beginning to prove to small for me and I noticed the screen hinges and track pad don't feel as premium as the 16 MBP. The battery is pretty good and a real noticeable improvement over the Intel model 15 MBP and yes it is almost silent all the time, awesome.
    There really isn't a best model for everything and you just have to take all your wants, needs and affordability into consideration. Future proofing is also well worth considering hence a higher ram spec and larger SSD are highly suggested.
    IMHO the sweet spot would be the 10C MBP 14 or 16 M1 Pro chip models with 32GB RAM and 1 or 2TB SSD.
    That would be for me the absolute minimum IMO and will still be a very viable machine for the majority of folk and for many years to come. I've noticed so many people are selling their 8C 16gb 512SSD models on ebay, marketplace etc..hmmm. Go the extra mile if you can, you'll be glad you did.
    All in all, the portability factor never really bothered me with the larger MBP's it's just that the 14 is so cute and formidable at the same time but I am so used to a larger screen and need and want the most internal storage I can get.
    If I travelled more I would stick with the 14 though.
    The 14 MBP is a great lil beast and it kinda breaks my heart 💔 saying this, but I think I'm going to go for the 16 inch MBP as mentioned. It just will suit my particular requirements and also just feels more like home to me.
    PS: Buy for the long term 🙏 Peace ✌️

      @willy7968 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      512gb isn’t really bad IMO, 8tb ssd is too pricey, u can save a lot by getting yourself a thunderbolt SSD which you own for atleast 8 years and use it with another system

    • @audiobunny1767
      @audiobunny1767 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@willy7968 Yeah I know its a bit rich although I got it refurbished for the price of a 4tb version so thought why not, and one less drive hangin off the machine.
      External ssd cant match the performance and anything above 2tb starts getting expensive anyway, same same.

    I have the 16 but I feel like it's so heavy. Carrying it up and down my house (we have 2 floors) is actually starting to annoy me due to its heavy weight. BUT big thing is I absolutely love watching content on the 16 inch screen. I am so confused if I should return and get 14 or keep :( ALSO BIG CAVEAT is fonts are SO SMALL on 16 and unlike windows, Mac doesn't allow just font size change and I have to lower the resolution which makes it look horrible

    • @ChuenL

      No problem with this, fits perfectly in my 15” bag. The MacBook is the same size, smaller bezels.
