I have panic disorder and anxiety. I was depressed for 5 years. This is my first introduction into motivational speaking. I just want to say that I’ve learned a lot from listening to you. Thank you!

Had a bad day at work today. Literally tears. A job I'm burnt out on. Mel has touched on every frustration and question I have from a previous video I saw of hers. Alan Watts and his school of thought has been my source of book knowledge but she has opened my mind what to do on action knowledge. Her words connected with me. Thank you for your gift.

Thank you both for this “hour of power” 🙌 I just tried a variation of High 5 without a trip to the bathroom. I opened my phone camera for a selfie, did a virtual High 5 near my face, followed by a thumbs up, and finishing with a salute to the present moment. I felt a sense of positive presence build with each gesture as the smile on my face “blossomed”. Bless you for sharing your journey and insights. As my friend Vivie used to say, “Have a great day in the Lord.” Namaste.

I just want to let anyone who’s reading this comment to know; Awakening is not changing who you are, but discarding who you are not ✨

I saw this one in an earlier video and, crazy as it sounds, I just started trying and what do you think ......
    It works!
The first moment of the day I see myself "Hey, good morning to you! You're great today! "🤚

Mel, I been trying to find an answer to my experience with the High Five, but I have not heard anything like what I feel when I do it. So, what happens is, I look in my bathroom mirror and give myself a high five - immediately I become disconnected from that women in the mirror so I feel as if I am not giving myself a high five but someone I don’t really know. At first I thought this was not good but then I realized I am not carrying all the negativity I have for myself and that is amazing. I also add a thought about how much love that woman in the mirror and leave the bathroom feeling warm and peaceful.

Friendly correction: It’s called a “pack mule” at the Grand Canyon! Best trips of my life to Phantom Ranch on a mule!! Highly recommend!♥️

I'm a Finn living in Sweden and in either of countries we don't have the culture of High5. Heck, we Finns don't even have a culture of encouragement. The best encouragement is not to get criticized. AND I hate the the "you're so clever"-phrase people use here in Sweden. So, do you think that to High5 myself is effective or should I find some other, more culturally fitting way, you think? 🤔
