How cool it is you live so close to Road America... I do miss the wind hitting me full on. Like Mac, it reminds me of riding my Honda 125 way back in the day. Thanks for the short trip !!
Very nice ride, Mark. It reminds me of my 1985 Honda Rebel. I could only do highway speeds on flat roads or downhill. Once the interstate had an incline, I fell below the speed limit. Rode that bike to and from work in Nashville for two years. Could not imagine doing that now. With my weight, the bike would not likely get above 55mph😂
Thank you Mark - another excellent video - I did the first service yesterday after watching your other oil change vid. I have a quick question, on your bike do you find the gas cap is hard to open? I find with mine there is always a large vacuum and suction, as if the tank vent is not working well. Cheers.
Thanks for watching! Regarding the gas cap, there is a really good seal and the tank seems to pressurize just a bit. Opening the cap slowly and letting things equalize seems to work fine.....
@@MarksGarage17 Thanks very much Mark - I've owned many bikes in the last 40 years and this is the first with a cap that opens like this (I assumed it had a venting problem) but the dealer service department said "they all do that" so it's good to know that yours has a very good seal as well. Other than this quirk, it's been a great little bike. Cheers!
Hi again Mark - just a quick update on the hard to open gas cap. My bike had a kink in the vent tube at the base of the tank. Now that is sorted the cap opens itself just with the turn of the key. I guess it was an assembly issue at the factory. Cheers.
I do not know why the ppl need more than 40 hp in a bike, it is en of to do any thing with much less pollution in the air. I love the design of softail std, but the engine I think is a wast of power. I decide to buy one scrambler like yours. But I will take the black or red. Cool video!

@@robertwhitemoto Thanks Robert. Appreciate you! Ah yes, The Honda 125.

Thanks for sharing a little history, Mac. Good stuff. We were all a little lighter in the saddle back in the day!

Thanks. I don't think you can go wrong with any color. You'll like the Scrambler 400X!
